Test says might be early signs of copd and I’m really scared. I’m 46 and haven’t smoked for 15 months. I always seem to have a cold although I’ve started taking hay fever pills and they’ve helped a lot. Sometimes a have a very slight wheez at night when I get flem on my chest from the constant bunged up nose.

Hi, MELLLL. You've done the right thing by giving up smoking. You may get a lot of junk coming up from the lungs for the next few months - that's nothing to worry about and shouldn't be suppressed. Try singing and breathing exercises from the diaphragm to help move the stuff.
I was diagnosed with moderate COPD a bit older than you in 2015 but with singing, increasing exercise, healthy eating and following the tips other people post here, my assessment last year had improved to the lower normal range.
So there's plenty you can do to help yourself. All the best.
Hi Ergendi, I’m just in limbo a bit. The test didn’t tick the mild copd box in the result paper and the doctor said have another spirometry test in one year. In conclusion the test said “good technique, very slight blockage, test inconclusive but may be very early sign of copd”
And didn’t tick any box including mild copd. I just want to know if I have it.
Wow really? You've improved to normal range!. That is fantastic, I'm so happy for you and it gives me hope if I have it. Yes I will try to get more exercise and eat healthy.
The print out graphs from my spirometry tests all show the restrictive curve still, right at the bottom of the normal curve, so I do still have COPD. It does still affect me if I get into fumes or high humidity, and I need Ventolin to help with my breathlessness then. I am still prescribed Serevent as a preventer as that is contributing to the improved score.
Could actually be asthma (or possibly both), which is probably why the antihistamines work, but you DO need to get this verified to make sure you're on the right treatment regime.
