GOOD NEWS RE MY EMPHYSEMA
I had my yearly test to see how my emphysema is doing. My last exam was in May of 2018. I was pleasantly surprised. The progress of my "Big E" has been stopped in its tracks. My FEV1 has even gone UP 1 POINT! I attribute this to my use of a Russian breathing device and using supplements that no doctor

PVC
Hey y’all, back in April I was sent to a cardiologist because I was having what felt like a big skipped beat and then my heart racing afterwards. It was worse when I exercised. I had an exercise stress test that showed a couple PVCs and that was it. Doctor said nothing to worry about. Next, had an echocardiogram

Palpitations and spikes in BP
I get those palpitations that could be PVCs or PACs, I've had them for years but they are more noticeable these days. 3 Nights ago I had a completely sleepless night with them and my blood pressure was very high, in the red zone on my monitor (I should also say I was very anxious at the time). In hindsight

Fev1 and fvc score
Hi it’s the first time posting, could any one tell me what my scores mean and it’s it mild, moderate, severe, very severe COPD. And would I be able to claim pip ? My FVC 1.88 and my FEV1 0.80 FEV1%m 42.62 I’ve added a picture of the screen if you can make sense of it, the nurse wouldn’t tell anything

CT Scan
Hi everyone, I had my latest CT Scan on Sunday, I was second on the list and was all finished by 08.30. I will get to see the results when I next meet my consultant in mid November. I also finally got the follow up letter from my last visit to see him in September. His current diagnosis is still NSIP

Here I am totally relaxed listening to music and BOOM! A really hard beat that almost made me jump out of bed!!! It came out of no where. Why does it feel so bad??? Can it be cause I’m lying down and my heart is right against my chest?

Experiences of Exophalia Dermatitidis?
Morning all, Went to clinic with small person yesterday, 5 weeks post discharge and on the slow slide once more since week 2, although her fev1 is fairly decent at 66%. Whilst discussing ‘The Plan’, it came to light that she’d cultured the fungus exophalia dermatitidis whilst on the ward (I’d only been

Question on PACs
Hello I have a question and would be grateful for any replies ☺️. Before I started Flecaine in June this year my Holter tests ( 3 over 3 years) showed that I was getting a lot of PVCs - up to 800 in 24hrs and they were very annoying as many of you will know. But hardly any PACs. (20 or so) Since taking

CTA
I’m afraid to have a CTA done. I’m having mild PVCs but all other tests were fine. Anyone had it done? I’m not sure if the risk is worth it as my heart has calmed down. The ultrasound was good. Thoughts anyone?

A little more settled
After what seemed an endless stream of problems after the Pace and Ablate a few months ago, I seem to be a little more settled now. I was still getting PVC's even with all the tweaking the tech people did for me, and no-one really seemed to know what, if any, meds I should be taking. So I did a bit

Pacemaker in 30s?
What has your experience been with a pacemaker? I am 38 years old and on my way to a pacemaker. 5 years ago I was diagnosed with PVCs after giving birth. I had a Holter monitor and was told they were benign and sent on my way. They have gotten progressively worse. I was put on 25 metoprolol then potassium

PVCs and exercise
Hello there! Hope all is well. I am new to the site and I love it. I feel some sort of support knowing I am not allowed. I have been suffering with anxiety for the past 5 years. Its been really tough. My anxiety comes from having pvcs while I exercise. When I run or when I do uphill walking or jogging

Should I have ablation while symptom-free?
I’ve had PVCs for 5 years. Twice they developed into Ventricular Tachycardia with a heart rate of 177+ and I was hospitalised. I had the choice of medication or an ablation and chose medication because an ablation really frightens me. That was 5 years ago. I have PVCs on and off most of the time but

Suddenly Having PVC’s Again
I am 10 months post ablation. Lately I have felt better and wasn’t having the little panic episodes I had been having but in just the last few days I’ve suddenly been throwing a good amount of PVC’s or ectopic beats and I hate it! It makes me feel like I’m about to go into a bad rhythm (a kind of rhythm
