Hi everyone,
I had my latest CT Scan on Sunday, I was second on the list and was all finished by 08.30. I will get to see the results when I next meet my consultant in mid November.
I also finally got the follow up letter from my last visit to see him in September. His current diagnosis is still NSIP suspected extrinsic allergic alveolitis, a big long name to say I have become allergic to something I have inhaled but they don't know what.
He also put some of the figures in from my last lung function test which was done when I was trying to reduce my steroids, which didn't go well. FEV1 of 39% with an obstructive picture and DLCO of 54%. I guess I should be feeling worse than I am with figures like that.
He has also confirmed that if the CT Scan results don't show anything obvious then he will refer me to the ILD Multi-discipline Team at the local Teaching Hospital for review.
So it is still all a waiting game but at least I don't feel too bad at present now that be prednisolone is back up to 10mg a day.
Take care everyone
Colin
