I’m afraid to have a CTA done. I’m having mild PVCs but all other tests were fine. Anyone had it done? I’m not sure if the risk is worth it as my heart has calmed down. The ultrasound was good. Thoughts anyone?

I'm sorry you're having problems, and also apologize because I'm not sure what a CTA is.
Coronary Angiogram ? Total wrongly spelt.
Oh, ok...I thought that was what you meant but wanted to make sure.
Yes, I have had two, actually. Nothing to worry about. Doctor wouldn't suggest one unless they thought it necessary.
I was totally awake, didn't feel a thing. Only bothersome problem was having to lie still for so long.
You'll do fine & have peace of mind with definitive answers to your issues.

Thank you! What worries me is they say it’s the same radiation dose as 600 x-rays. I’m only having a few daily PVCS at this time and wonder if it’s realky necessary.
Only you and your doctor can make that decision. Surely he/she has a reason for the test, please ask them. Also, not sure who told you the equivalent of 600 chest xrays, but I think they're off by a few hundred. It's more like 2 or 3 mammograms. You'll come closer to something else affecting you first, way before the radiation possibly might. Do you know we are exposed to natural radiation on a daily basis in normal, every day life?
