I’ve been being monitored by the hospital due to moderate late onset OHSS and yesterday I was 5 wks (as per an online ivf calculator) and they couldn’t quite work out a definite gestational sac, only a possible one of roughly 2.5mm.. My hcg is 3568, 16dp5dt raised from 325 on 9dp5dt so they want to rescan me next week incase of an ectopic! I’m now obviously going out of my mind as convinced the worst will happen. Is 5 weeks too early? We had a double embryo transfer and my OHSS started 6dp5dt. Any reassurance would be appreciated! Thank you xxx

I think 5 weeks is still really early. They normally start to see things more clearly at 6 weeks onwards. I lot can happen in a week in terms of growth and what they can see. Everything crossed for you I know it’s such an anxious time 💜
Thank you for your reply.. I keep trying to myself it’s too early but as soon as they mentioned ectopic, my mind went into overdrive! It’s hard to know if I have symptoms as my OHSS is still quite tender! Roll on 5 days time! 😳xx
5 weeks is very early. Usually people don't have a scan until at least 6 weeks and even then it's hard to find a wee blob with a blob in it (the most you would see). Sending you big hugs and positivity x
Gosh what a worrying time for you!! Can't offer any advice to stop you stressing out as I know I'd be exactly the same. Hang on in there, keeping everything crossed it's just too early! Hugs.xx
Thank you! I’m soooo hoping that it is just too early! I really didn’t want them to scan me because of this reason!! But because of OHSS they had too.. Xx
This unknown must be so hard. It’s still really early and they said they have seen something so hopefully next scan will bring you good news 🤞🏻 Sending love xxx
Hopefully it's just too early and in a few more days they'll be able to see everything there (and in the right place!!). I'll keep my fingers crossed for you xxx
Way too early for a scan! At the hospital I work at we wouldn’t expect to scan at the 5 week mark. Usually aim for 7 weeks with minimum at 6 weeks. So much changes in that time span. Stay strong and hope everything works out for you! ❤️
