Peritoneal dialysis
I am new to this site, hello! I am 65 years young, have been on peritoneal dialysis for a year and a half. I chose peritoneal over hemodialysis as I feel more normal and not wiped out after treatment. Getting a good night's sleep has been a challenge, seem to wake up every 2-3 hours. Just had to

Hello everyone. Been on peritoneal dialysis since 2015. Its a little time consuming but I deal with it. I know it could be worse, but it gets hard to get people who do not have kidney disease to understand what you go through. Not gonna give up. I was a fire fighter really miss that job really liked

Hi all! This is Dan Garver in Virginia. I learned that I had kidney disease in 1990 and started on peritoneal dialysis in 2005. I received a kidney from a deceased donor in 2009. Unfortunately, my transplanted kidney appears to be failing. My latest eGFR was 13. I have a fistula ready to go if I need

High phosphate levels and itching
My husband is stage 5 eGFR 12 he is suffering from severe itching the consultant feels this is because of a high phosphate count. He has been prescribed phosphate binders I was wondering how long it will take to bring his levels down and ease the itching. He is following instructions from the dietician
