Hi Kathryn so sorry your going through this . I am also on PD now . Although I have a husband and 4 young adult and teenagers I often feel alone , it's so hard to describe the pain , fear and depression that this disease has over u unless it's someone who has also experienced it . If u need to chat with anyone please don't be afraid to get ahold of me !

I an not on dialysis yet, but it is coming. I am 75 years young,have been told that I was last year. Presently GFR is 18 and creatnine is 2.4. I am diabetic and blood sugar is not going good.My husband is adamant that dialysis will not happen and of course I hope it don't either. Its not his body & does not realize how it is affecting me, being so tired and depressed with no one to talk to. Thank you so much for listening!

Your gft 18 seems low with only 2.4 creatine i would say at your age you wont need dialysid in your lifetime i was down to only like 5 percent kidney function cr like 9 before doing dialysis

No. I'm on Peritoneal Dialysis. I do it myself. Every night.

Thank you for your reply. I'm not sure my hubby can do it but I was feeling confident that I can handle it myself. Someone told me that I would have to have someone to help me. I'm a big girl!!!! RIGHT?????? 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
