Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone can help me with some advice. My name is Shane, I'm 30 years old. I am living with stage 5 renal failure. Although my treatment is going well ( peritoneal dialysis ) I find myself struggling with food. Especially with everything I have to keep an eye on.
I'm thinking a meal planner designed with kidney disease sufferer's in mind may help.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Shane.

What are your figures is it phosphate too high mainly my hubby is on PD but only has problems with high phosphate & low protein & we are vegetarian which makes it difficult! if you let me know what you are having a problem with i may be able to offer some suggestions after 5 years of experience with my hubby hopefully i can help x
Hi Shane, a renal diet really sucks. Capd is slightly better than heamodialysis if I remember rightly. Veggie is tricky as the pulses all have high potassium. Learn to cook well as sometimes it's hard to have an appetite. Egg on toast or boiled egg was something I used to like.
