Well, that pesky lymph node is now no longer PSMA detectable.
After 1 year of Lupron, and Zytiga.
So, now Im looking at 2 more years of Lupron (FML), and 1 more year of Zytiga.
MO and RO both said to follow STAMPEDE trial. I want to follow SSPORT trial!!
Odd thing, my Testosterone yesterday was 4, not<4 as has been the past year. Should I be concerned?
PSA still reads <0.1 Im going to go to Quest on Thursday, behind my MOs back and get an Ultra sensitive test, just because!

somewhat similar circumstance. I will look up the Ssport protocol. I had a recurrence in one lymph node and one suspicious. IMRT'd lymph area and nodes. 25 treatments. on the Stampede treatment protocol. 18 months in with Lupron and Erleada. I think the protocol calls for 24 months. My latest PSMA shows no cancer. But we know it could be there!! Tough to hang in there for another six months but I would hate to come this far and not finish the protocol and have it return after a year or whenever!! send me the Ssport trial please
I see 3 years androgen depravation (Lupron for me), and 2 years Abi/Pred, then I see elsewhere 2 years for both.
My MO says for life. She believes that micro mets are floating in my bloodstream.
Ill continue for 1 year, and revisit my options.😷
The Stampede was revisited I thought and they acted like 2 years was good, and the additional six months (original 30) resulted in no additional benefits. I wish to God there was a way to find those micro mets. I saw an entry on here by a guy who used Rick Simpson oil and said he has been cancer free for three years. Not sure about the Simpson Oil but he said there is a blood test to track CTC's (cancerous tumor cells) in your body. I thought this was interesting. Obviously, it would be another ace in the hole if you had no CTC's floating around and if you did then what do you do?, but very interesting. At some point the medical community has to KNOW! when are we cancer free and when do we have micro mets. How do we find them..?

Testosterone of 4 is extremely low. Normal range is an average of 300 - 400 ng/dl for men over 65.
I know, its like watching an ultra sensitive PSA scan!!!
Kaiser's Testosterone test on goes down to 4.

Congrats! However I understand that PSMA scan won't pick up anything meaningful if PSA is undetectable. So why did your doctor order PSMA scan then? Additionally I thought insurance won't approve PSMA scan unless PSA reaches certain level. (I could be wrong though). So did you pay PSMA scan yourself?
One member reported that the psma pet scan picked up something with PSA undetectable while he was on Zytiga. Therefore what you believe is not true.

The first at 0.4, showed a lymph node. The other 2 with undetectable PSA showed that same lymph node progressing downward. My lymph nodes expressed PSMA not PSA, the test was to detect PSMA.
We weren't searching for PCa, were monitoring the remission.

I believed the same as you until one week ago. The member was using a latest Siemens machine for the psma pet scan. I don't know if older machine would also pick up something at very low PSA and Zytiga and ADT?
