early concerns/ paranoia
I’m 72 years old and my annual physical in November saw my
PSA
numbers double from 3.2 to 6.4 and then retested a month later they were 7. Sounds scary to me.

tumor in spleen
He had radiation plus Lupron and has been in remission 2 years. 4 + 4
Psa
still non detectable. Tumors picked up on pet scan to check kidney. Radiologist has said rare to metastasize to spleen. Said if it does he’d worry it’s neuroendocrine type. Anyone have experience with this?

Unexpected early end to ADT
Orgovyx has kept my
PSA
at <.05 UNDETECTABLE for all of the 14 months, with mostly tolerable side effects. Muscle loss, fatigue, brain fog and hot flashes. At this point with only a four month window, I am not willing to move over to Lupron or the like for fear of it causing more harm than good.

Can we trust AI analysis?
The first chose no ADT with radiation and the second chose 12 months of ADT after surgery and follow up radiation after
PSA
rise. I guess only time and luck will tell if that was the correct decision for each of us.

PSA
780. Started ADT right away . Went through 2021 and 2022 H2 body adjusting to all the changes. 2023 H1 pretty solid , feeling pretty good. Recent
PSA
went from 0.32 to 0.64. CT unchanged but bone scan w contrast shows new uptake. RO recommending Xofigo.

PSA Test less than four weeks post surgery
He ordered
PSA
test, testosterone test, and PSMA PET scan. I have received
PSA
back this morning.
PSA
is 36.5. Urologist previously said he would wait for
PSA
because too close to surgery would be unreliable due to effects of surgery.

Terrible sleep issues
My
PSA
numbers have gone from 8.4 to .2 and still falling. My side effects have been minimal , only lately have I seen some mild hot flashes. No side effects yet from the radiation. But I’m suffering terribly from very poor sleep.

Dad with Advanced PCA :(
Over the last few weeks we have gone from a raised
PSA
level 8.9 (up from 6 in 2022 and 2021, 5.1 in 2020), Negative DRE, to an MRI (PIRADS 5, SAG T2) to a positive biopsy (10 cores taken, 9 positive, overall score G9) to a PSMA PET Scan and now an Advanced metastatic Cancer diagnosis.

Appointment is tomorrow to review but from what I see even with a low
PSA
of 0.052 a lymph node lit up which is rare. Is this correct and given this my guess SOC is whole pelvic adjuvant radiation and higher dose to lymph nodes or??? Anything else this reveals?

Timing of Docetaxel
PSA
has steadily risen to 41 but stable for last 3 months. Testosterone is stable and low (0.4). ALP normal. I recently had a PET choline scan done abroad, to get another view. It showed that all my mets are in the bones.

Chemotherapy or Pluvicto
PSA
has been doubling since I failed Zytiga. Last scans show progression. I am offered chemo or a trial with Pluvicto. The cancer is throughout my bones. What should I do. I have had chemo at the beginning of this journey and it worked then.

Small cell advanced prostate cancer spread to liver and lungs.
Justin was diagnosed with a
PSA
over 100 and widespread to bones. Justin has burned through the treatments in just over 16 months, Apalutamide, Radiation, Docetaxel chemotherapy and Cabazitaxil chemotherapy. He is on monthly Lupron injections. As far as I know, no DNA mutations found.

castration after 7 years of ADT
My
psa
is now slowly rising and ghastly taken 2 years from undetectable to 0.65. I am considering surgical castration now as it would mean no more 3 monthly Zoladex injections and a reduced chemical load on my body. I am fit and well , 83 years of age, and no heart or diabetes problems.

I wonder if anyone knows why or has experienced a rise on PSA level (from 70 to 274), 6 months after radiation therapy (VMAT x 26 sessions)?
This month (October), after receiving his Leuprorelin injection, Urologist advised to stop taking Bicalutamide as it is no longer effective due to hormone resistance resulting to a rise on
PSA
level. Instead, take Abiraterone Acetate with Prednisone.

Lupron Question.
Psa
was 19 in Sept and dropped to 1.26 as of Jan. 11 2024. Since going on Abi when I get a monthly Lupron shot I have trouble sleeping that first night and mild flu like symptoms the next day. I have agreed to try the 3 month injection but am concerned the immediate se’s may be worse.
