Cancer returned.
Back in 2006 I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer with a
PSA
of 17, treatment was 20 sessions of radiotherapy followed by Zoladex implant every 3 months for 3 years, my
PSA
then dropped to 0.10. There it remained until 2011 when it went up to 0.40.

PSA back up after radiation
After 4 .5 weeks of radiation
PSA
dropped from 6.6 to 3.46 but on 6/3 went up to 5.88. I have MO appt 6/11 and he has previously indicated that docetaxel could be the next step. Following last
PSA
increase switched from Zytiga to Xtandi.

Similar question to Ezzedine. PSA rising
PSA

PSA
was 0.01 (indecipherable) Then a year ago my
PSA
was 0.02, then 0.03 and last week it was 0.13.

PSA Rising and Falling during Chemo
Since starting the Cabazitaxil my
PSA
has been raising and lowering. I am currently having some scans done to confirm if there is progression. What is going on? What causes the
PSA
to react like this. My numbers are high, last 3 are 28, 69 and 48 now.

Antiandrogen Withdrawal Syndrome After Stopping Enzalutamide in Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer: Two Case Reports & Review
In the metastatic setting, prostate-specific antigen (
PSA
) levels are used for monitoring treatment response, and a rise in
PSA
levels often indicates disease progression before radiological progression, although up to a quarter of patients may experience disease progression without an increase in

Uh... Oh... New Phase Awaits?
Worked well so was able to stop...BUT NOW Starting to look like castrate resistance: 9/14/23
PSA

PSA
= 1.2 Total T = 51 1/15/24
PSA

PSA
= 2.6 Total T = 56 We are going to do 1 more in 2 months. Then ? Am I castrate resistant?

Rising PSA
I'm Poollover, Just got the results of a blood test and my
PSA
went up from 0.67 to 0.77. I'm on Orgovyx and Zytiga. I'm 86 years old. How concerned should I be? 8 months ago it was about 12. That was before medication. Also slightly anemic. What are my options? Terry

Treatment update-is SBRT missing the lesions ?
PET scan 8/21 following
PSA
54.5 showed numerous bone lesions. Zytiga, prednisone, Eligard knocked
PSA
to <.064 until 1/23 PET showed new small lesion in left hip.

Lupron unjection not reducing PSA
I was then put on Orgovyx, that did not stop
psa
from rising. I was then put on monthly injections of lupron, the
psa
was 25. Lupron dropped the
psa
to 10. I have been on lupron for 4 monthly injections. My
PSA
keeps rising, last
psa
test was 28 last month, guess I'm castrate resistant now.

What happens next
My 68 year old husband was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer to the bones Oct 22 with
PSA
at 220. Since then he has been on Zoladex, Enzalutamide and has just finished 8 rounds of Docetaxel. Apart from this cancer he is very healthy - but what happens now when the
PSA
starts rising again.

PSA went up after three treatments of chemotherapy
before the first treatment
PSA
was 89. after the first treatment
PSA
was 73.31.. after the second treatment
PSA
was 52.82. after the third treatment,
PSA
was 73.31.. does it make sense to take another chemotherapy treatment since the
PSA
has risen after the 3rd treatment?

My own PSA values over time: 70% drop in just 3 months on Dutasteride and no ADT
Here are my own
PSA
values versus time plot. You can see there is an exponential rise in
PSA
starting at around 6/1/23, and doubling from
PSA
= 5 to 10 in about 8 months. My MRI at
PSA
= 10 showed a T3a tumor about 1.3 cm long (PIRADS 5).

PSA level from 4 (Dec 2023) to 22 (present)
His
PSA
level is now at 22 but the specialist cannot figure out what is going on. He is scheduled for an MPI (myocardial perfusion imaging) that is estimated for September. Is his raising level of
PSA
not concerning?
