Rising PSA 1 year after RALP
I've been getting ultra sensitive
PSA
tests every three months. These are the last three scores: 0.015 0.017 0.026 (First
PSA
test after surgery was <0.1) I am worried. Frightened, actually. Margins were not clear on my surgical biopsy, though gleason was only 3+3.

MO recommendations at Mayo, Moffitt?
Hello - After 7 months of ADT (Lupron/abi) my MOs are not offering anything but continuation until my
PSA
fails, so I'd like to network more; so please let me know whom you think are the best at these two places. Thanks in advance.

BCF after 9 years post proton therapy
I'm thinking of having another
PSA
at a different lab in a week or so just to rule out lab error. I will be having the PSMA at Duke so I had the Uro's office schedule it for Feb 29 the day after
PSA
retest so hopefully no further waiting for the scan.

After Radiation, what should PSA be?
I went for a
PSA

be undetectable?

Scans other than PSMA for PC
My husband’s
PSA
continues to rise yet his PSMA scans are all clear. His last PSMA was late October with a
PSA
of 4.7 His
PSA
today was 6.5 It seems I have noted on this forum some other type scans should be done besides PSMA. His ALK PHOSPHATE is 85 (normal) Calcium levels all normal.

The
PSA
went down a bit but not enough so we were sent to oncology where MO added Xtandi to the lupron.
PSA
went down and remained undetectable until 2023, although the Xtandi caused many SEs which at time meant ER visits.

PSA of <0.1 undetectable?
My latest
PSA
came back as <0.1. My MO sent me a message with the results: "congratulations, great news, your
PSA
is undetectable!" I thought undetectable was 0.01, is it more likely she misread the number or that the lab used by Kaiser only reports an undetectable number as <0.1?

Positive medical check update April 2024
Blood values are all very ok,
PSA
undetectable, Testo less 0.1 ng/ML and PSMA Pet/CT and ultra sound clean, no recurrence, no metastases. I’m more than thankful and will continue with exercises, mediation and diet.

Criteria for "my ADT has stopped working and we have to move to another"
Hello - So my third post ADT initiation (Lupron+Abi)
PSA
test is coming up and since it was <.1 six weeks ago, I asked how the criteria of “has stopped working” works -to my Hopkins MO and I got this - “We want to declare a therapy no longer effective when
PSA
is clearly going up.

Removal of contralateral testicle
Now waiting two months and then check
PSA
and Testosterone. Still hormone sensitive, but no further Lupron required. Looking forward.

High risk vs. aggressive cancer
I understand the definition of high-risk prostate cancer (Gleason,
PSA
and/or spread), but that doesn't necessarily seem to be the same thing as aggressive cancer. How can aggressiveness be determined for high risk, localized cancer? Thanks for any insight and information.

combining standard PCA care with alternative care
Dec 15 my
PSA
is 27.5 and I will take one more ORGOVYX today hoping to reduce
PSA
to 10-15. At this
PSA
level I believe the alternative treatment will kill more cancer cells than my testosterone can replace.

10-year update still shows no benefit to ART vs early SRT
ART
= adjuvant radiation therapy, within 6 months after radical prostatectomy (RP)
early SRT
= salvage radiation therapy, after
PSA
≥ 0.1ng/ml or 3 consecutive rises. Median was 0.2 ng/ml. Median 1 ½ years after RP.
