Just another update
So phoned up the clinic about 10 days ago and they have said to start taking
Provera
tablets, I'm now day 7 and have another 3 left. They said I should start to bleed but no signs as yet. On day 2 of my bleed I am to start Cyclo-progynova for 21 days..

Depo provera injection.
Hiya, I was just wondering if anyone has had the depo
provera
injection and if it's had bad side effects at all? I had it about two months ago and I'm pretty sure it's making me feel worse! So I'm unsure whether to get the next injection or not?!

Endometriosis and thickened endometrium
I thought it might be due to the progesterone I am on (depo-
provera
and norethisterone tablets) but it seems oestrogen is actually the causal agent if the thickening is hormonal is cause an progesterone is the treatment.

Confused by breakthrough bleeding while taking gonadotropins
I've been on a break due to over-stimulated ovaries from injection therapy, and felt so annoyed by this that I ended up taking
provera
to induce a new cycle so I could start treatment again this side of Christmas.

Norethisterone - is it worthwhile?
I was meant to go on
provera
but apparently my chemist could not get it due to a manufacturing issue. Any advice about either drug would be appreciated.

Hip pain
Since I was on
provera
some of my symptoms eased but as I have been took off them the pain is so unbearable! I have pain in my hips / groin area and my lower back and can't even have a wee without it hurting so much. Codeine isn't touching it. I'm not at consultant until mid November.

Mirena & Depo Provera ???
Following my laparoscopy and diagnosis of endometriosis at the end of July it has been suggested that I have the Depo
provera
injection on top of the mirena coil I already have. This is to try and reduce / stop the irregular bleeding.

Copper coil... Maybe?
In the past I have been on numerous different contraceptive pills, the implant, the depo
provera
injection and the mirena coil, all of which have not been suitable.

Still waiting...
As you can probably guess, it was and the consultant removed all she could find- endo was found in pouch of Douglas and around bowel. 2 years later I began to have the same sort of symptoms and was given a 3 month course of
provera
tablets.

Hello ladies, I've been on
provera
now for about 3 weeks. I ended up having a blood test Saturday as they thought I may have a blood clot from it. I don't but my legs are swollen and the slightest brush of clothes against them feels pretty painful.

Thanks to all who replied to my post re Mirena coil & heavy menstrual bleeding....
I've been kept in hospital for the past 2/3 days and have now been released with
Provera
and Mefanamic acid - until I see the gynae again at outpatients in 10 days time to discuss re-trying a Mirena to tide me over until an MRI scan to look at my fibroids (!), with a view to an ablation.
