Help! Struggling to get a diagnosis
To give you some background, I have suspected that I have an under active thyroid for about 20 years. It is the only thing that makes sense when I read the symptoms, I have practically all of them. In addition, my mother has an under active thyroid and my grandmother and great grandmother on my father

Fertility
Hi, if anyone has read my bio it will pretty much explain some of my journey (I didn’t want to bore you with everything). I’ve just come back from an appointment at the hospital regarding our fertility, I have been taking Clomid but this has not been affective. They are now going to give me Prostap injections

Uterine lining too thick to start stims
hi all I have just got back from my appointment to see if the Prostap (instead of Buserelin) has switched me ‘off’ in readiness to start menopur and bemfola. I am so bitterly disappointed that my uterine lining was still too thick, they want to put it back a week and for me to return next Wednesday

Quick PSA Drop?
I had a follow-up appointment to my CT scan with my CO yesterday and as well as showing me those results, he told me the results of my last blood test. My PSA at Dx in April (before treatment) was 13.0 and I started a 4-week course of bicalutamide at the beginning of July, then had my first Prostap injection

struggling with Adenomyosis
Long post sorry in advance, I’m just struggling today and need some advice. Can anyone recommend an adenomyosis specialist? My consultant was a BSGE endo specialist so I had high hopes but since I was diagnosed in November after my laparoscopy he discharged me. He’s told me my adeno isn’t responsible

Gluten-free diet and vitamin D uptake in patients with Hashimoto disease
This paper demonstrates that gluten-free diets with Hashimoto's may have an influence on vitamin D uptake. Just a thing to be aware of. Gluten-free diet attenuates the impact of exogenous vitamin D on thyroid autoimmunity in young women with autoimmune thyroiditis: a pilot study October 2022

There Is Hope For CKD — My Story
I wanted to share my experience and journey with CKD with you all. I was diagnosed with CKD stage 3 about four years ago when my eGFR went to 57. I saw two nephrologists over the course of four years and had many renal tests done as well as blood work every six months. My eGFR numbers kept decreasing

Finding the right medicine is tough
Seeing all these success stories people have with different medicines kinda brings me down well not brings me down but jealous that they were able to find a medication that helped them right away. I’ve been trying meds since I was 16 and just can’t find one that takes away the sensations without side

period after prostap injection
hi all Have any of you had the Prostap injection instead of Buserelin and found your period was delayed afterwards? If so, how delayed was it? The clinic said it can be delayed but I’ve got my first scan with them next week and I would like my period before then but it doesn’t appear to be in sight

Why hasn't my period come back?
The last time I had my period was on the 16/10/20 and my last Prostap injection was on the 24/12/21. Between then I was on the Prostap injection on and off but my last injection was on the 24/12/21 surely it would come back by now. I am concerned and worried by this and I don't know what to do and I

An unpleasant surprise....
Hello all, Following the sensible advice on this forum, I have been following a slow and cautious tapering of prednisone, and current at a very low dose of 0.75 mg/week (three 1/4 mg days and four days no Prednisone). My steps down per week were 0.25 mg/week. I have been feeling generally OK, so

Please help me form a plan of action based on my blood results!
Just got my bloods back and would appreciate any advice what all these could mean and/or how I can myself get well(er) as I am not at all convinced this knowledge will ever come from my clueless but kind GP and NHS Endo. By way of background, thyroid disease runs in my family, and I have had years

Help with interpreting results
Hi everyone, would like your opinions on my latest results please, have had PMR 5 years next month. C reactive protein, 6mg/L (0.0-5.0) above high reference level and ESR 10mm/h (1.0-35.0) I don’t think I’ve ever been below 25mm ESR before. Just on week 4 reduction from 5 to 4-1/2 pred. I feel reasonable

Update on FET/ ovulation from this morning 🙈
I’m confused? Does everyone feel when trying to get info from your nurse it’s like getting blood from a stone !!🙈🙄 The bloods from this morning have confirmed that I haven’t ovulated yet. But apparently I haven’t responded naturally as well as they expected … but I told them I didn’t ovulate till
