Help with interpreting results

Hi everyone, would like your opinions on my latest results please, have had PMR 5 years next month. C reactive protein, 6mg/L (0.0-5.0) above high reference level and ESR 10mm/h (1.0-35.0) I don’t think I’ve ever been below 25mm ESR before. Just on week 4 reduction from 5 to 4-1/2 pred.

I feel reasonable, although still tired. Does this sound as though I might be getting nearer the end🙏 Thank you

I am not sure that inflammation levels have any correlation to whether you are getting nearer the end or not, but hopefully you are.

All it really shows is that you are currently on enough pred to manage the inflammation. If a lower dose manages it - then obviously there is LESS inflammation but there is no way of knowing if it will continue to decline and then the underlying cause will burn out and go into remission or whether it will then bumble along at a low level indefinitely. Sorry!
