Decision Time Very Soon
My profile is updated, but briefly, diagnosed de novo, high volume metastatic in April 2022. PSA 28.2, Gleason 4+5. ADT & 6 rounds chemo brought PSA to 0.48 in Jan. 2023 & then started creeping up. In June, went over 2 & MO felt was castrate resistant. Stopped abi. and started Keytruda (I am MSI- high

Rising PSA
Hi, have updated my profile to reflect recent changes. A gradual increase in PSA (1.2) with the prospect of changes to treatment if it continues at the current rate and gets near to 4. The oncologist is suggesting probably chemo but I would like to know more about other options before that discussion

Feeling sore and tired
I am a 51-year-old that is closing in on five years dealing with this.. a quick history, I was diagnosed October 2018, Gleason nine and had four spots showing in the scans and my bones. I have been on Lupron since the beginning, I had radiation to my prostate as well as the other four spots back in

My MO discussed a clinical trial for me today if I qualify with the required genetic markers. My most recent PSMA scan showed further progression of metastasis in bone and lymph nodes and my PSA has increased fairly rapidly. Currently taking both Orgovyx & Nubeqa. I'm hoping some of the smart and

Gleason score 8 and lots of questions...
Hi all! First time posting here but I have been lurking the last month or so and thanks so much to all of you who take the time to contribute. It has helped me ramp up the learning curve so quickly and the comradery and support here are powerful. My story: 63 year old reasonably healthy male. PSA

Diagnostic Imaging Not Yet Enough for Biopsy-Free Radical Prostatectomy - MedPage Today, November 27, 2023
Biopsy-free PCa diagnostics would be welcomed by anyone who has had one or more needle biopsies. This article in MedPage Today summarizes the current status for the several methodologies being studied as alternatives. Good info for those currently on AS or just watching a rising PSA. From the lead-in

Does this mean we sould not use ubiquinol?
I would prefer not to drop ubiquinol, but this makes me think maybe I should? “Castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) poses a major clinical challenge with the androgen receptor (AR) remaining to be a critical oncogenic player. Several lines of evidence indicate that AR induces a distinct transcriptional

Information overload and now decision time!
Okay, so I am at that stage of making a decision. Mind you I am about to embark on a 10 week overseas 45th anniversary trip. Dr says that should be fine. So whatever decision i come up with now could change by late November. So then a month ago, I had 42 biopsy samples taken and 8 of them were found

Orgovyx stopped woking.
Started orgovyx 2 months ago. PSA went from 35 to 5 in first month. Second month, PSA went from 5 to 8. This month PSA is 18. Looks like cancer is castrate resistant. Anyone else had this problem. If so what did your doc switch you to and how is it working for you? I talked to my doc today, he said he

12-year post surgery PSA
Hi All, Hard to believe that it’s been 12 years since my prostatectomy. So many health issues since then that PCa has moved down my list of worries. My PSA for the prior 2 years was .008. This year’s result just back and it’s ticked up to .009. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about, but of

Can a colonoscopy after RP with BCR increase PSADT and speed up PC growth?
6 years out from RP - current PSA = 0.39, PSADT = 16 months....only therapy has been RP...nothing shown on PSMA PET/CT done at 0.35.

Switching from Abi to Enza?
Hi everyone, my father has been taking Abiraterone since 2.5 years now (along with prednisolone 5mg). It has nicely brought down his PSA from 500 to less than 1 and kept it steadily less than 1 since the past one year. He, of course, takes Lupron alongside. However, Abiraterone has resulted in some side
