Has anyone of Black or Minority Ethnicity applied for wig help via the NHS within the last 5 years?
Apologies, it's a long post. My SLE caused my hair loss back in 2002. I was very devastated at the time as I loved having my hair braided and the versatility of the different style I could have. My hair loss ultimately affected my self-esteem and body image in a major way. At that time I was unaware

Hi guys I am gong into hospital next week to have to have flolan. This will be done by IV and will have to have it every day for a week. This is another attempt to try and heal these ulcers on my ankles. I feel like an experiment sometimes. Will keep you posted. Treatment starts Monday.

Syndol/Hypothyroid?
I have just read that Syndol (an over the counter painkiller) should be used with caution in hypo people. Does anyone know why that might be? Hair loss products
My hair has started thinning again (was better for a while) and wondered if anyone has any ideas on best product to use. I am using a shampoo which is for hair loss and also a scalp stimulator which is a 3 month treatment. I have read some reviews for ´Viviscal Women's Max Strength´ hair loss treatment

I have really bad hair loss , scarring on my head and dermatologist has advised to see plastic surgeon which I did who has agreed to pull my scalp together and stitch it to cover scarring , seems drastic but in a strange way I'm scared but can't wait to get rid of these severe bald patches I've had for

Young people and skin conditions
Hello! We're looking for volunteers aged 14-22 years old who would like to share their stories of having a skin condition. This is for a project about what it's like for young people to have psoriasis, alopecia, acne and/or eczema. The research will help add a new section to the award-winning peer-support

Supplements question
Does anyone taking levothyroxine also take Thyroid Support from Cytoplan Ltd? It's been recommended by my (private) nutritionist, but it's got kelp in it - just wondered if anyone has had any issues with it.

Hair loss, hair growth...
My hair continues to fall out but my hairdresser says I have new hair coming through. Is the hair which I am losing in the telogen phase and the new hair anagen? Basically, does this mean my hair might be getting sorted at last? My hair has also become rather greasy recently which is a first for me.
