Anyone find anti arrythmic drug making afib worse?
He wanted me on a regular regiment so we switched and he wanted me to try
Propafenone
and Carvedilol twice a day to see if that would calm my afib so I could heal during blanking period. I continued to have afib but was having really bad PACs mainly at night.

Propafenone with bisoprolol
He wants me to start taking
propafenone
as a regular medication so both rhythm and rate are controlled. My question is does anyone here take both bisoprolol and
propafenone
regularly?

Second ablation
I am considering a "touch up" ablation as I would like to get rid of the
propafenone
, but I havent made that decision. Any comments to help me make that decision? Jodie

I am taking
Propafenone
now. I was to take 3 150mg per day. I did and felt horrible. So I started reducing it myself and I have found that 1 pill split into 2 does works well for me and I tolerate the effects very well. But I am taking Metoprolol twice a day.

Side effects of Metoprolol
.), also taking 100 mg
Propafenone
per day for AFIB. I dont have a lot of energy and I find that I am sleepy all the time. I have also gained considerable weight, and find it difficult to exercise. Has anyone had any of these issues? Are there any other meds which any of you could recommend.

Rash From AFIB Medications
I developed a rash on my back while on
Propafenone
. That was the only drug I was on for 2 months. I then started Xarelto 4 days before I went to see a dermatologist who did a biopsy and it turns out the rash is drug related.

Pill in Pocket Question
For a year and a half I just lived with the the arrhythmias and AF (having an episode every 1-2 months) and used pill in pocket (
Propafenone
) when needed. I have no structural defects.

from HR 123 seated to 197 standing moving
I have been on
propafenone
since January and is has been working well. The last episode I had was on July 3 - until this morning. I woke about 2:30 a.m. and was in Afib. Did a kardia reading (I only use when having episode) It registered as Afb with a HR of 123.

AF 14 hours
My meds
Propafenone
and Carvedilol not helping. I’ve no symptoms. Normally AF stops after a few hours. I’m in isolated Scotland on holiday and a bit worried.

ME and My Heart
Had my first AF bout in 1997 (23 years old), throughout that time I've been on Sotolol then moved to
Propafenone
, then Flec and Bisoprolol combination from 2007 onwards. I have been historically chem converted with Flec in the past before going on Flec on perm basis.

Propafenone and Carvedilol
I’ve been prescribed
Propafenone
alongside my Carvedilol. I have PAF and ventricular ectopics. I tried flecanide and had a bad reaction so that was stopped . I’m concerned that
Propafenone
also has very bad side effects .

Different episode
I am taking
propafenone
and Eliquis. The
propafenone
has worked the best. I have been taking it since January. I have had three episodes in that time. It has lengthened the the time between episodes and the length of the episode.

Exercise and medications for PAF
I suspect it is the
propafenone
that is the main cause, or the combination of the two drugs, because I was on diltiazem alone for a while and I could still run relatively well at that point.

Turmeric instead of a blood thinner?
I also have paroxysmal afib treated with
propafenone
but I’m not on a blood thinner due to daily dosing of NSAIDs to help manage the arthritis pain. Appreciate any responses. Best to all, John

Anti-arrhythmic drugs after ablation
Ten months post third ablation, I tried to stop, cold turkey,
Propafenone
300mg x 2. I lasted 6 days before going back into AF for 4 1/2 hours. Recently at one year and ten months, I tried to wean (not cold turkey this time) myself off now a lower dose,
Propafenone
150 x 2.
