My cardiologist wants me to switch the propafenone 225mg. as PIP. Has anyone had any experience with this? Also is anyone using propafenone as maintenance?

I take 75 mg propafenone 2 x daily (I couldn't tolerate a whole tablet of 150 2 x daily so this was halved) I also take .125 digoxin 1 x daily. I am wondering if the digoxin can be reduced in half because the propafenone has been reduced in half. Is this something that makes sense?

I am currently on Propafenone 3x150 mg and Bisoprolol 1.25 mg, and I am on the 5th day of this treatment. My previous medication was Flecainide 100 mg, 150 mg per day (morning and evening), but in the past few days, I’ve had many episodes of shortness of breath.

I am 3.5 months post ablation (still in blanking period), and have been cycled through sotolol, metoprolol, mexiletine, diltiazem, propafenone, and verapamil to date....issues with tolerance, made things worse, or didn't help. Thanks!

I have been treated so far with Flecainide 100, but now I have been advised to switch to Propafenone. I have up to 30,000 EVs per day and often feel dizzy. Is there anyone who can help me with how to manage this situation?

I cant find any information on thinning hair being a side of propafenone or digoxin. Has anyone experienced this? Could someone get back to me. I have too many blood platelets and take hydroxyurea for the side effect which keeps low.

I am wondering if anyone has had similar challenges with BB, CCB, and arthmia medications, and the combination of propafenone and diltiazem? So sorry if TMI!

Has anyone been prescribed this antiarrhythmic? Due to the flecainide not working for me, my doctor wants me to go on this drug. I’m really hesitant to try another drug because of the Flecainide not working. Just wondering if anyone has ever tried this medication and if so, did it work?

My BP has been low…below 100 systolic, ….likely due to taking Propafenone & Metatoporal for my AFib. Dialysis also contributes to my low BP. Low consistently is hard on kidney health. Does any one out there have some inout on how you increased your low BP to up over 100 consistently?

I stopped flecainide for that very reason and am suspecting the same now with propafenone. Has anyone else experienced this side effect?

I have been on the Propafenone and have felt seriously awful. But I really can't tell if it is the Propafenone or the continued Bigeminy and Inappropriate Sinus Tach. I just can't tell. I just know that I feel absolutely, unbearably awful.

I had a spate of VT picked up on my Wellue device and I only had it when I was on Propafenone, stopped that and straight back on the Amioderone. Flecianide and Propafenone really excite my ventricles for some reaaon so hoping to find out why. (both drugs were my saviour in the past).

I need to continue with my Eliquis for few more weeks which was expected but on the other hand I was finally told to stop rytmonorm (propafenone) which I was on regularly for the last 7 months.

I stopped propafenone one month ago and can say finally I'm off any medications after almost 8 months.

Anyone’s experience would be helpful, as regards a slow taper or sudden cessation of the propafenone, or any other 1-C antiarrhythmic. JimF

Propafenone was stopped because even though calcium score was 0 there was a blockage in RHS coronary artery that he said was stable and didn’t want to touch. Advice appreciated folks thanks

I'm 4 years into my AF journey and as well as 2 unsuccessful ablations I've tried all of the first line AAD's including sotalol, propafenone and flecainide. Unfortunately the beast just won't go away and the burden is getting increasingly high.

My EP is trying Propafenone and if that fails, feels like my only option is another ablation. I know the system in the UK is different and not geared by money or pharmaceuticals. I am not keen on lifetime meds (I am 48).
