Propafenone with bisoprolol

I'm male, 45 years old. I have been taking 2.5mg of bisoprolol once a day for a couple of years. I recently had another AF attack. 5 in total over the last 8 or so years. Was cardioverted and A&E Doc upped it to 2.5mg twice daily.

Recently had a follow up with cardiologist. He wants me to start taking propafenone as a regular medication so both rhythm and rate are controlled.

My question is does anyone here take both bisoprolol and propafenone regularly?

No help. Take only rhythmol ( propafenone ). Post ablation; for slow afib. Effective. Have been in sinus rhythm almost 2 years now.

Hi I take Bisoprolol with Flecainide which like propafenone is an anti-arrythmic. My cardiologist says the betablocker is protective when taking an anti-arrythmic. I don’t seem to have any side effects from 3.75 Bisoprolol and 200mg Flecainide. Best wishes
