I was diagnosed with paroxysmal Afib about two years ago. I am taking propafenone and Eliquis. The propafenone has worked the best. I have been taking it since January. I have had three episodes in that time. It has lengthened the the time between episodes and the length of the episode. My "normal" episode is an irregular heart beat with a heart rate of 140. Friday I had an episode that vacillated on my Kardia from Afib to Sinus Rhythm with Supraventricular Ectopy. My heart rate stayed at 74. I wanted to be grateful and assume that it was the medication doing its job but..let anxiety take over and decide it was something worse.. I am not asking for a medical opinion but an experience opinion. I come here everyday and have been greatly informed, Hope you can ease my unknowing. BTW - have an appt with cardiologist on the 13th. Have sent here this info. But, I am due to fly to Chicag on Friday and am aprehensive.
