Anti-arrhythmic drugs after ablation
Ten months post third ablation, I tried to stop, cold turkey,
Propafenone
300mg x 2. I lasted 6 days before going back into AF for 4 1/2 hours. Recently at one year and ten months, I tried to wean (not cold turkey this time) myself off now a lower dose,
Propafenone
150 x 2.

AF after cardioversion
One year 10 months post third ablation, I was doing very well, especially the last four months in a beautiful normal b.p.m. range, aided by
Propafenone
. Due to kidney issues, I tried to wean off the drug. Bang! Back in AF.

Chronic Afib
Nadolol and
Propafenone
(this last one taken when afib occurred). It has become chronic since last July. I underwent 2 Cardioversions since with no good result. Waiting for a pacemaker procedure in 3 weeks.

Am now on
Propafenone
(as needed) which doesn't seem to do anything to put me back in NSR. I feel like I am walking on egg shells, trying not to go revert back in a fib. Anybody have similar symptoms?

Propafenon
I started taking
propafenone
150 at the doctor's recommendation every 1 to 8 hours, for ventricular ectopics (extrasystoles) The problem is that my pulse drops a lot to 42-52 even though I have a pacemaker set to 65 beats! Could I take 1/2 of the tablet or 3/4? has anyone tried.? thanks!

Stopping Propafenone
During that time, my
Propafenone
dose was reduced from 300mg x 2, to ,in the morning, 150mg and 300mg at night, and presently to 150mg x 2. I believe
Propafenone
may be affecting my kidneys. Plus, I am stable in sinus and ready to stop.

He will be happy that I decided to take the
Propafenone
2x's a day. I was taking it PRN (as needed), he calls it a "pill in a pocket." I'm supposed to carry them with me at all times. So then 2 weeks ago my legs decided to have a hissy fit and start cramping.

Too much propafenone?
My cardiologist and I were hoping to reduce
propafenone
from 150mg 3x daily to 100mg. But I’ve been having a lot of afib and tachycardia recently.

My heart story............
I have tried Flecainide but it gave me very bad eczema; and
Propafenone
but it was pro-arrhythmic. I take other meds for hypertension and hyperlipidemia, Apixaban as a blood thinner and Folic Acid and Vitamin B12 to keep Homocysteine (an amino acid) levels down.

Ocrevus Infusion Today
No side effects except for the methylprednisone that has made my heartbeat irregular again so I had to take some
propafenone
/Rythmol to get it settled down. It made for a long 10 hour day. My husband spent the time at the beauty supply and Harbor Freight.

Should I Continue Anti-arrithmics
If meds, like
Propafenone
, don't work anymore to control AFib is there any point in continuing to take them? I take Xarelto and Diltiazem, thats all. No other physical problems: 78 years old. At this point, few symptoms I can't live with. Trying to control rate only, not rhythm.

QTc borderline
This is my first post my husband has been diagnosed with PAF and has been put on a low dose of
Propafenone
& Spironolactone. Had an ecg after a week of taking the meds and his QTc is borderline 479, due to have urgent 24 hour tape with serial QTc analysis and repeat ecg .

Propafenone/Rythmol and stopping heart beats
Against my better judgment, I agreed to try this new medicine for at least a week to see if it would stop or keep my afib at bay. I gave my word to my doc and hubby (who is also a doc) that I would give it a chance. Well day 2 had afib that lasted 24.5 hours. Keeping my word, I didnt give up and kept

Discontinued AntiArrythmics due to prolonged QTc
I've been put on various anti arrhythmia drugs..
propafenone
, flecanide, sotalol. They inadvertently lead to prolonged QT. My ECG today also shows QTc at 545. My cardiologist says it is not safe to continue this class of drugs. He has now put me on bisoprolol 1.25 od.

propafenone
had an ablation in October and was fine until around a month or so ago with afib getting worse....have been put on
propafenone
and have suddenly developed quite swollen legs and ankles by end of day.....wondering if it could be
propafenone
causing this edema......thanks for replying.

Does anyone else notice an increase in SVTs during peak summer?
I have been prescribed
propafenone
but with the lovely reduction in frequency earlier, I have been able to stay off medication since a long time now.
