Don’t know where to start
in June 2021 my colon burst they blame
prednisone
. Had another surgery to hook me back up and then way too many things in between. I finally went to church forgot about the stairs, and anyway I am all over in pain and all I want to do is sleep.

does poor adrenal function until they work again increase CRP results?
As in your dropping the
prednisone
under 10 and down lower and lower? I just dropped today from 7.5 to 5, and don't yet feel any different.

prolia and Actemra.
I have been on
prednisone
for 18 months now and am just now reducing to to 5.5 mg
prednisone
and am on monthly infusions of Actemra. I noticed that some people on here have mentioned they are on Prolia and I wondered if they have found it helpful or if they have had any problems with it.

Decision Xtandi or radiation
The other option is replace Zytiga/
Prednisone
with Xtandi which I resist since Z/P is controlling all the other lesions and Xtandi can be used later if neecessary. OK, so its radiation or drug change. What do you guys think? I see MO Wednesday to make decision.

Could this be the start of neuropathy?
Due to the Dexamethasone before and the
Prednisone
since, I have been really well. In the gym most days, and eating really well. I have had no side effects - until today. It's a minor thing, but both thumbs are a little sore.

PMR discussion with Dr
hopefully they’ll do the cortisol as I have had it done before at the doctors , then I can start a treatment of the
prednisone
to help with the pain. Anyone have thyroid problems whilst having PMR I just didn’t know if it’s linked in anyway with hormones.

1 year Anniversary off Pred
June 2019 got diagnosed in the Emergency Room with PMR and prescribed 80 mg / day
Prednisone
. Mid-late September 2022 weaned off of Pred literally following the 10 percent rule post 10 mg / d, even going so far as cutting 1 mg in quarters to be able to do 0.25 mg decreases as I got below 3 mg / d.

Prednisone reduction
Started reducing my
prednisone
f r om 30 mg a day by 2.5 every two weeks and mow at 22.5. I follow this site continuously and get the impression this is on the fast side. Talked to Rheumatologist about slowing down a b d staying at 22.5 longer. He insists I should continue and start 20 mg now.

My doctor won't acknowledge PMR without inflammation markers in blood tests.
Was vaguely suggested PMR by neurologist and given
prednisone
, I was well for about five months.after the trestment. The pain is back with a vengeance now in hips arms neck over and above not being able tp walk.

Still unclear about cortisol suppression
Do our adrenals shut down completely on
prednisone
or do they adjust depending on our dose of
prednisone
? I have assumed that as I have lowered my
prednisone
dose, my cortisol production is slowly creeping back up. Am I wrong?

travel dosage question
I am on 3.5 mg of
prednisone
then will be 3 mg hopefully. I am reducing .5 a mg per month., as have had two flare in the last 2 years. Should I take an extra dose partway through the trip to make sure I don’t create any problems with inflammation. Then go back to my 7 am usual dosage time.

Scalp pain
I can't take
prednisone
. It makes my irregular heart beat go crazy, Cymbalta made me drugged and unable to function all day. I have been on an anti inflammatory diet for months and now and am trying keto.

Do I have PMR? This is getting ridiculous.
My doctors think I am just experiencing adrenal fatigue along with "
prednisone
myalgia." They are now telling me that I likely *never* had PMR, and that all I have to do is taper from the
prednisone
, which I started doing more slowly again. (Last time I definitely went too fast.)

Reducing TCZ?
I feel I'm on the home straight with my GCA/PMR, down to 2mg
prednisone
daily and weekly TCZ, (which I started Nov 21 and buy on private script as methotrexate was a nightmare for me)Rheumy says to get off pred completely before reducing TCZ.

Update On Eclipse Trial-another failure. Has LU-177 worked for anyone?
We briefly added 250mg Zytiga + 5mg
prednisone
before starting Eclipse trial (LU-177 I&T) in June 2023. Beginning PSA was 3.3 and directly before fourth injection in August, PSA dropped to .25 Unfortunately, after fourth injection PSA was .30 and rising.

Increase Prednisone?
I got as low as 12.5 because of Rheummy pressure...had splitting headache and eye pain which I posted earlier...he said he didn't think it was from GCA...I am pretty much ignoring him now, just need him to keep refilling my

Not PMR but RA
Insists the
prednisone
is not necessary and wants be to keep reducing by 2.5 mg a week from 17.5 where I am now. Started me slow on SSZ yesterday (500mg) and eventually will go to 3000 mg a day. Any thoughts?
