Hi, I don't know your age but the obvious ones you've probably ruled out already for the hot flashes is of course peri menopause & menopause.
Fibromyalgia can also cause heat issues, difficulty regulating your temperature and hot flashes and sorry to say same for peripheral neuropathy. I know it well 😞
Scalp issues are also quite common with fibromyalgia from itching to feeling like your scalp has been sun burned to the point even brushing your hair is painful. Lumps, bumps, dry skin ..... 😩
Sadly a lot of Doctors don't seem to be aware of much around fibro or even interested in finding out more.
Thanks for your reply. I am 81 so yes ,causes have been ruled out. These issues started at the exact same time as the all over body pain so I suspected ,but doctors are ignoring my odd symptoms and just saying " I don't know"
Oh, at 81 they're definitely ruled out!😳 The truly sad thing is they probably don't know. You'll find more information from people on forums like this one and lots of support. This is a really good one for information on neuropathy
Hi, I am also your age and started with the itching and crawling scalp about 15yrs ago.I also had and have a head that regularly feels as though it has been kicked all over. This is always when I am having more pain generally although my head always feels sore.
The itching has calmed down a bit now but because I scratched so much I lost some hair which hasn't grown back so be aware of this.
