Antihistamines and Prednisone, are they compatible?
In the case of pollen allergies, is it ok to take an antihistamine while on
Prednisone
? I have mild symptoms, runny nose and teary eyes and so far haven't taken any antihistamines, but would it be safe to do so if symptoms get worse?

Long Haul advice and prednisone, please.
I’ve got the thumbs up from my ( yet another new) rheumy to increase my
prednisone
from 8.5mg to 10 mg daily ( more if I need it) since I’m really struggling now anyway . How should I manage the time difference and taking all my drugs ? I normally take them all at about 9 am.

Tapering Regime while on Kevzara (or other biologic)
I am grateful I was allowed to try Kevzara after 9 years on
prednisone
and never being able to get below 5 mg without a flare amongst other reasons. I have tried to look up the tapering regime for attempting a taper with this new biologic.

Prednisone for treatment of AIG
I've just been started on
Prednisone
or Prednisolone, immunosuppressant steroids, for treatment of Autoimmune Gastritis/autoimmune PA. This has recently, within the last few years been shown to possibly heal AIG, although not entirely cure.

Quite the CLL journey
End of 2023 extreme decline, many tests, reveal CLL transformation to Richters. 5 days of high dose
Prednisone
works wonders. Oncologist places me on Pirtobrutinib that also works to arrest disease. No real side effects.

When PMR Goes Away
If you do some research, you quickly learn it isn’t quite that simple but that the
prednisone
will help you manage the effects of the PMR as you give it some time to do it’s nasty trip through your system.

shingles vax
I’ve tapered down to 5mg of
prednisone
over the last 8 months and so far my PMR is at acceptably low levels. I’ve been offered the shingles vaccine and wondering whether to have it. What is your advice?

Managing Prednisone dose with PMR
I was diagnosed with PMR in Sept 2023. ESR was 57 CRP was 46. My GP put me on 50mg of Pred for a few days with a slow tapering down. Currently I am on 3mg but am really uncomfortable day & night, and unable to do some normal daily tasks such as brushing hair, drying my back after a shower, vacuuming

GCA or Occipital Neauralgia
Rheumatologist prescribed 50mg of
prednisone
after a while to be gradually reduced. I’m now on 6mg and not feeling to good. had a blood test a few weeks ago and my blood markers were good. My rheumatologist referred me to a neurologist because he thought I may have occipital neauralgia.

out of date Pred
For 2 weeks I have been taking 1 mg
prednisone
which was out of date in March ‘23. Would it have been effective as I seem to have some returning symptoms of GCA?

biceps pain
Hi, I am currently at 4.75 mg of
prednisone
and I am pain free in shoulder , neck , thighs but have developed severe pain in bicep area. I thought it might be PMR returning so upped my dosage by 5 mg for a week which didn’t seem to change anything.

Painful tendons and prednisone
Three nights ago I started doubling up on
prednisone
. Instead of taking my usual 5 mg dose. I started taking 10 mg morning and night and the pain in my arm is gone.
