Hmm that's strange isn't it. I wonder if when you were thinner the dose of Apixaban was too high for your weight and a lower dose would have been better.

I'm guessing the drug you take is Apixaban?

My Pacemaker Clinic told my Doctor to switch me from Aspirin to an Anticoagulant and I was put on Edoxaban which after taking for 5 days gave me a very bad head and blurred eyes. So I went back on Aspirin as I was going away on holiday the next week and I was fine. I saw the pharmacist at my doctors on my return and he persuaded me to try Apixaban for a few months. After 3 months I didn't feel well at all and started with excruiating pain in my right knee and couldn't sleep at all. After three weeks of this illness I was referred to a DVT Clinic which diagnosed Cellulitis and prescribed 7 days wide spectrum antibiotics, which cured me. They advised that Anticoagulants should be stopped! So I am now back on Aspirin and intend to stay there!
