EMG & NERVE CONDUCTION STUDIES
Finally, after a year wait to see a Neurologist in July past (2019) I have been referred for EMGs and Nerve Conduction Studies as she noted severe muscle wasting from just below my calves on both legs. No muscle left round my ankles, very minimal left. So today I had the tests, plus some special ones

How to deal mentally with diagnosis?
Mum is stage 4 NCSC and soon to be starting on keytruda. It’s an odd ‘in limbo’ time as the words of the doctor saying the chemo hasn’t worked are still ringing. That combined with a new treatment which we will need to wait 3 months to see if effective. Mum is really anxious. Physically, mum is doing

Copd and panic breathing.
My hubby has severe copd and has been in hospital with chest infection but his breathlessness is made worse when he starts to panic, the hospital has put him on 1mg of lorazepam to take when he needs to ,has this been any help to other sufferers,he has also started a course of Erdosteine which he takes

Not sure whether to go onto lexapro for chest pains or not?
Hi there, I've been bothered with anxiety ie. chest pains for the last 4mths. Sometimes its completely gone but mostly it's there a little most days. I was doing a FT course, got stressed and its been ongoing, I'm not working at the moment which is worrying me too and I feel I'm being bullied behind

Misery today with unknown or still undiagnosed conditions - FHH anyone??
Having a really bad day, anxious, depressed and so tired. Lorazepam doesn’t work as it should, takes many hours to have effect and makes me sleepy 12 hours after I take it when it should be gone from my system by then! Added to all the other issues like fatigue, cough, parathyroid problems with calcium

Weaning off Lorazepam, any ideas?
Was given Lorazapan to take and foolishly didn't check and it is additive, so I am trying to wean myself off it after 7 months. I should have used it sparingly, only when needed, anyway have had 5 bad nights, fighting to sleep and then getting around 4 hours. I could make do with 4-5 hours before my

Respite report
I think the respite people are a little panicked. I have had a call from them both days Larry has been there. I am having to reassure them. Larry is groaning. They thought he was in pain. He told them he isn’t. Looking that up online it is a late stage symptom. Called the social worker and let her know

Lorazepam withdrawal
How is everybody? Everything is great lately? I notice there is no post for the last days. If anybody need to share I am all ears. I personally am struggling with my emetophobia more than before it gets worst instead of better. I wanted to stop taking lorazepam but I think it will be hard especially

Diazepam suppository, should it burn?
I am hoping someone can answer this question and provide me with some reassurance. My PT wanted me to try the diazepam suppository before I see her next week. I just tried it, reluctantly. But as soon as I inserted it vaginally it started burning. I mean like seriously burning. Made me feel very anxious

Lorazepam and alcohol
Hi all! I’m having really bad insomnia/anxiety and I’d like to take some of my Lorazepam to help BUT... I did drink alcohol tonight. It’s been about 5 hours and I do t feel a buzz or anything but all the information on the internet makes it sound really scary/like a bad idea. Can anybody weigh in? Obviously

Post lumbar microdiscectomy surgery/recovery
I had an endoscopic microdiscectomy on my L5/S1 on 21st June 2019 after suffering agonising/debilitating pain from March 2019 (the surgery was only fast-tracked due to private medical insurance). I was advised the usual, to not bend, twist or lift anything heavier than 2lbs in the first 6 weeks. Not
