Anxiety was due to overactive Thyroid

I was treated for anxiety but in my opinion was extremely stressed.

Went through 6 weeks of hell, with two ED visits, neurologist visit, head MRI, 10kgweight loss, numbing tingling, panic attacks, vomiting, sleeping, the list goes on..all bought on from the night I started the anxiety medication.. amitriptyline, topiramate, lorazepam and finally settled in venlafaxine.. With lots of natural extras too.

Then retested bloods and found slightly overactive thyroid..

Started in 5mg carbimazole and INSTANTLY started improving!

I have improved daily over the past 8 weeks.. Not completely well but so much better and weaning off Venlafaxine.

I do have MAJOR eye issues.. Feels like my eyes are overexposed and very sensitive to light and also dry so if anyone has ideas on this I'd appreciate it.. Also my muscles or bones or something ache and burn in and off and its horrible! Im worried I'm going to get the full body sensations I got on amitriptyline.

Anyway.. My message is keep digging team.. There's often something else behind the anxiety and you can recover even though you think you can't!

I'm still very much in the road to recovery and just started some CBD to see if that can help me heal more x
