How is everybody? Everything is great lately? I notice there is no post for the last days. If anybody need to share I am all ears.
I personally am struggling with my emetophobia more than before it gets worst instead of better. I wanted to stop taking lorazepam but I think it will be hard especially now that I read about the withdrawal symptoms and one of them (if things go badly) is vomiting and nausea.
Anybody had ever tapered from lorazepam and how was your experience?

It's not a medication I know anything about, but withdrawal shouldn't always be a problem. Done gradually it can be done without adverse symptoms in many cases. And in any case not everyone gets the symptoms.
I gather that lorazepam is a benzodiazepine, which means it's a tranquillizer. I took diazepam on an ad hoc basis for a while, but found it didn't do much for me anyway. They can be very addictive so I'm not surprised you want to come off it.
I now have a prescription for Promethazine which is actually an antihistamine but has a sedative effect. I only take it occasionally, but it helps. It's a case of a drug actually being used for its side effects rather than its original purpose!
Thank you Sallyskins for your answer! I want to come off Lorazepam because it increases risk of dementia and I took another benzodiazepine for about 5 years. I didn't know at the time there was such a risk, it stresses me out. I still need something to replace Lorazepam because I do have panic attack almost everyday but I don't want to rely on this medicine anymore.
I am interested about Promethazine, it sounds like something that could benefit me. I will talk to my doctor, I moved to another city and I finally found one today.
