Anxiety/Depression
I have anxiety and depression and right now I am on something for anxiety that helps about 60% of the time, but currently on nothing for depression due to it causing my aggression to increase. Any recommendations on what to try for depression? I am in therapy currently. I am also an addict in recovery

How is someone, vulnerable to abandonment by their own family, worth anything themself?
My family left me at a homeless shelter. If the location had neither waiting list nor called my parents back, I would've been abandoned. My family disowns me: they cast me off for "choosing" to be lethargic, flat-affected, anhedonic, etc. So why not kill myself? Any symptom of my condition is demonized

Tips for not spinning into remorse
I'm new here. Been dealing with depression and anxiety off and on for decades and always struggle with remorse and difficulty using any coping skills or grounding techniques to get through exceptionally rough patches. These episodes can last for weeks where I am nearly incapacitated with remorse for

More Losses
It never ends. Another friend after much acrimony said adios and another artist in the art group I belong to ; a really good person passed away. I cant seem to get the hang of dealing with others so I dont end up antagonizing them. I was under almost constant abuse as a kid and its HAPPENING AGAIN.

Tired and unmotivated
I am glad I found this forum. A few quick things about me. I am an introvert. I am almost 60. Married for over 30 yrs. My mother suffered with clinical depression and I believe bipolar. I’ve been to therapy on and off, so I am sure I suffer with some type of depression. I’ve been able to work my way

Depression
I am down to 6mg, reducing 1mg monthly and I have really bad depression and not sure how do cope with it. I seem to be on the verge of tears most of the time. Don't want to go anywhere. Is this to do with my adrenal glands and how do I get past it?

Valdoxan (agomelatine) brief trial
I tried Valdoxan (agomelatine) recently as I am titrating down from pregabalin. It's an antidepressant but some people use it for sleep (and one or two people that i've read of have had success with it for RLS). I only tried a small amount, around 12.5mg (standard dose is 25mg). The first night wasn't

Light & Sound reduce Amyloid Plaques
The pulses of light and sound, delivered at a frequency of 40 per second, or 40 hertz, jumpstarted the mice’s neurons to fire electrical signals in time with the pulses—and subsequently reduced the number of amyloid plaques and tau protein tangles in their brains, two hallmarks of Alzheimer’s disease

Why so much suffering?
We may not realise it but there is structure to our existence, this I have come to believe in the course of a long life. Just as plants and animals evolve physically to a higher form, so we evolve to a higher form in terms of our character or essential self. Some say this evolution takes several lifetimes

Sertraline & Diazepam
Hi guys. So after dealing with really high and intense anxiety again, my doctor has prescribed me with Sertraline & Diazepam. Of course i am terrified of the side effects and increased anxiety for the first while. I know everyone is different and it affects everyone differently. I have just heard so

So. I told the GP I had RLS. He asked me what my diet was like, what my job was and got me to stand on my toes and then touch my toes. He had no questions on symptoms/severity. He did book me in for bloods. I asked if he was including ferritin and Transferritin saturation but he just said yes I did iron

Prucalopride, a new trial for alleviating IBS C symptoms. But could it alo improve some of my other disorders/symptoms? 🤔
Spoke with the gastroenterologist about my trial (ended) with Simalviane and Alflorex+. Simalviane (simeticone and alvarine citrate) does seem to alleviate the functional bloating somewhat but Alflorex+ didn't do much for my IBS C symptoms. I will continue using Simalviane for now. Also discussed the

Hello this is my first post I'm sure what exactly I am expecting by taking this step but I have been struggling with basically everything in my life. I couldn't focus on my studies during my college and I was supposed to be working after graduation. It's been 5 months since I graduated and I'm still

Anxiety with family*trigger warning*
I am having a hard time with anxiety. I have been trying to be there for a person in my family who is having a very hard time with her own anxiety, depression and issues. I try to listen to her. It makes me anxious to listen to her sometimes. I have suggested she get professional help many times.

Unsupportive partner issues??
Has anyone had any issues with their partner not believing you have an illness so you feel like you can’t go to them when you’re struggling? My bf says he doesnt believe in labels and in his eyes anxiety is something we just overcome. I was diagnosed with severe GAD and even noticed I didn’t feel sad
