I don't know how to eat! :(
Hi everyone I used to be pretty slim until I was 14, then I was anorexic for 4 years, and then I got fat :( I'm now over 11 stone at 5'1". I can't believe this is my "set point" - this can't be healthy! A lot of the weight seems to be water or that weird solid edema from hypo, but I am not actually hypo

Correct timings for vitamins
So i've got my b12 sublingual, bvitamins, vit d and vit k. I know you shouldn't take d and k together so maybe lunch and dinner for those. Is it ok to take b12 with the other b vitamins in the morning? And how long after levo? Also i'm taking biocare Th207 which contains amongst other things kelp is

Migraines due to Magnesium supplements
I've been taking the magnesium at night before bed....2 of them at 135mg per tablet. In the last week there has only been 1 morning that I've woke up without a migraine or headache. At the time it could of been due to other factors as well as just suffering from Migraines anyway but this morning I woke

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Folate
Folate, vitamin B9, is found in leafy green vegetables, as the name suggests, although there are other food sources too. However, a significant percentage of the U.S. population was deemed to be deficient by the FDA, which intervened & mandated that grains be fortified with folic acid, effective 1/1

Supplementing B12 - dosage and infections like colds
Hi All, I'm in week 4 of supplementing 1000mcg methylcobalamol after a reading of 452 Ng/L for serum B12. I'm making slow progress but noticed I seemed to become more symptomatic when I had a cold last week. I assume infections place further demands on B vitamins? Is it advisable to slightly increase

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Amino Acids - Selective Restriction.
There are 20+ amino acids needed for building protein. All it takes is for one to be in short supply to cause a reduction in the growth factor IGF-I. Omnivores might be able to reduce their intake of whole protein, I suppose, but vegans would find it easier to selectively restrict a single amino acid

Reduced migraine attacks
Hi, for years i have been suffering from chronic head pain and migraines. After fighting for a long time, I eventually got to see a specialist neurologist in London. She prescribed duloxetine, strong dose of vitamin B, and detoxification of all my medication before starting the new regime as well

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Choline
As many will know, radio-labeled glucose PET scans aren't very useful for PCa imaging, & there has been great interest in radio-labeled choline PET/CT. From a paper this month [1]: "To date, several positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) radiotracers including fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose

Strange lumps, maybe mucin, pics added
Hi, I've been taking 200 mcg thyroxine and 40 mcg t3. I've just started supplementing with b12, ferritin, b vitamins and magnesium. I feel fine although struggle to lose weight but my main concern is strange lumps around ankles, inside of elbows, back of knees, below knees! I'm convinced it's mucin but

Are prenatal vitamins okay to take if not pregnant?
http://m.iherb.com/Rainbow-Light-Just-Once-Prenatal-One-Food-Based-Multivitamin-90-Tablets/1795 I was wanting these and didn't find anything bad in them. I like that they have WAY less b vitamins in them vs my other vegan multis. I know too much b is very bad to take and these have a lot less. I also

The MTHFR gene + homocysteine
Homocysteine is a non-protein forming amino acid which is associated with Parkinson's disease (+ vascular dementia, heart disease...) in several ways: MTHFR gene mutations raise homocysteine levels in PWP and several articles highlight this fact: Homocysteine Level and Mechanisms of Injury in Parkinson's

RIBOFLAVIN 400mg
I've recently been advised by my NHS headache specialist nurse to try Riboflavin at dose of 400mg per day. Despite having had migraines and other headaches for 45 years I'd never heard of this as a preventative treatment but I thought I'd give it a try as I've tried everything else without any success

Endometriosis diet change
Hi Everyone, I just wanted to post about Endometriosis and diet just to share with you how it has been helping me over the last 10 months. If by reading this it helps anyone else then that is just great. I am constantly reading about what things I can do to help control side effects of Endometriosis,

Could it be b12?
Hi I have been having health problems last few years. I'm hypothyroid and have terrible digestive issues. I've learned through health unlocked thyroid that vitamin b is hard for thyroid patients to absorb. I was tested but was supplementing when tested so was told not an accurate test. I also was diagnosed
