Kidney pain for months
Hi everyone, I have been dealing with bilateral kidney pain for seven months now and am in desperate need for help/advice. From June 2020 to February 2021 I had six UTI's all treated with cranberry juice and lots of water. Did feel occasional twinges in the left kidney after the fifth one but mostly

Good Results in MRi
Good morning everyone. I haven't posted in the past few weeks. As some of you know, Jimmy had decided to discontinue treatment. Well when we saw oncologist last, he talked him into giving Lenvima another try at lower dose. So we started it again. The first time he took it he got sores in his mouth and

Slow Pred taper for PMR and GCA
Plavix
, Bisopropolol and temisartan for BP. I am also on Actemra . I am doing a slow taper of Pred 1 mg every 6 weeks and currently at 8 mgs and I have 2 months left on Actemra. I am always light headed and it is not pleasant. Could it be the taper or the heart meds or a combination .

Fluid retention / edema
Hi -- I'm 5 years post kidney transplant and over the past year I've developed swelling (pitting edema) in my lower legs. My eyes are also extemely puffy in the morning as the fluid pools there overnight. I'm curiuos if others have taken diuretics (lasix) to address this, or why they have chosen not

Bisopropolol or something else
I was put on Bisopropolol 5 mg now reduced to 2.5 mgs and telesmartan for BP and
Plavix
for LB with Ejection fraction of 42 per cent so early stages of HF. I have been so light headed since I started these 3 and now after reading these posts I will bet it is the Bisopropolol.

My Jeff home from hospital
Ever wonder what fluid around the lungs looks like?! This is it! Jeff successfully had the fluid drained. I wanted the doctor to put the amount of fluid drained into perspective for me. I questioned if it was a lot. The doctor responded, “well, it’s not good”. That didn’t satisfy me, so I pressed

Small update on my Jeff
Since the Zytiga/Prednisone can potentially make Jeff sick, while he’s in the hospital, they have suspended his cancer treatment. Currently, it’ll be at least Tuesday for discharge. Once he resumes the medication however, his oncologist authorized taking the Zytiga at night and the Prednisone in the

Soft tissue massage and relief, relief, relief!!!
I noticed yesterday afternoon my left Tubi-grip on my leg was wet. My leg was leaking a clear liquid...no open sore, just coming through the tissue. In the morning my sheets were wet and I could see drops on my lower leg in a few places...even with my eyes. I called my primary care and his nurse wrote

Plavix & Plaquinil
Anyone using just
Plavix
and Plaquinil to manage their APS? Just curious. I can not deal with Warfarin.

Trouble with Medication Tirosint
I’ve had a thyroidectomy since 2014 started on 50mg. Then eventually had to adjust dose up to Tirosint 125mg over 7 years. My Endocrinlogist is scratching her head for 4 years I was balanced. My freeT3 and freeT4 were both in normal. During covid I could not do “In Person” visits so my labs didn’t get

Slowly I am Recovering!
After stopping
plavix
will use fish oil also in a day or so. From 12-14 tablets perday to only 2-3 in 4 months. I feel a better but get tired very soon (only problem is dizziness which I guess is an effect of
Plavix
) will wait for 7-10 days to see doctor again.
