Plavix Withdrawal?

After 2 DES in Aug 20 I just completed 24 weeks ( 6 months) on plavix and as agreed by my cardiologist I am off from this rat poison from 24 Feb (3 days) . I had severe headache and chest muscle pain / pressure which also effects left arm from last 3 days. I know its muscle or rib joint pain as I can feel it once I press certain points in my chest. I also unable to sleep well some nightmares or strange dreams! I have no anxiety or fear I am ready to face anything as it or if it has to come. Had worst last 6 months after stents marked with constant dizziness, bloating, pains, tinnitus, no energy, lazy and disinterested in life. I have left all medicines last one was plavix and I attribute all my sorrows and miseries to it. I am now on just Nebivolol 1.25 mg and 75 mg aspirin from last 4 days.

Does anyone other than me has/ had experience of plavix withdrawal similar or different? Would love you o hear and will be helpful.

Yes, plavix/clopidogrel caused me all sorts of problems so I took myself off it after 6 months. Chest pain almost daily, dry and puffy eyes, terrible constipation. I've been off it 3 months and I still have those issues but they are slowly improving, maybe 50% better so far.

I took myself off them over the period of a month. In the final week I was taking one every three days.

There’s no evidence that you need to taper off Plavix - which is not rat poison I think you’re referring to warfarin which is an anticoagulant unlike Plavix which is an anti platelet - as its usual to be on it for 6 or 12 months and then stop following a stent. It’s there to stop the stent blocking up whilst it beds in. So once that’s happened you just stop as the aspirin will continue to give you antiplatelet cover ongoingly.

No issues with stopping plavix after about 8 months of usage without problems. I stopped because doctors and I thought it may have been cause of stomach bleeding. Yet stomach bleeding occurred again after 4-months of stopping plavix. The two baby aspirins (81mg) / day is a more likely cause of bleeding. I still take two aspirins daily after eating an oatmeal breakfast.
