Monopost and hayfever medication
I used to use
Piriton
for hayfever but have read that it is not good to take hayfever medication when you have narrow angles. Has anyone else been told this and if so is there anything else you can take for hayfever symptoms ?

Hayfever medication ahead of stimulation round-worried!
We've avoided all unnecessary medication in the lead up but on Thursday night last week we were both really suffering with hayfever and took half a
piriton
tablet each.

I’ve bought some
Piriton
which seems to contain chlophenamine maleate which I presume is the same as chlorpheniramine.

Side effects of Clopidrogrel
Piriton
not very effective. I am beginning to feel distressed. Am afraid to take Clopidrogrel and afraid not to take it. Seems this is an allergy but no one seems interested. Not sure what to do

Meanwhile, I recommended that the family ask the surgery if there are any medications they can prescribe for itching outwith what is available OTC;
Piriton
is what is suggested. If the condition doesn't improve, what are the next steps and should a HIDA scan be undertaken?

Bilary Sludge, itching and travel? Advice please
The antihistamines/
Piriton
appear to help the itching but not completely. I told him to try fexofenadine to see if that one is better. Non drinker. Not overweight. No liver issues prior to this. Patient will be overseas for two weeks. Many thanks.

Carbimazole & hives
I took three
Piriton
through the day but they didn't help. 111 sent me to A&E who also suggested
Piriton
but ended up giving me a different antihistamine. The itching was driving me insane! From the threads I've read on here this seems to be normal.

Is there any reason to choose IMRT over proton therapy for whole pelvic treatment if both are covered by insurance?
I understand that both treatments are comparable in terms of toxicity and cure rate, but a radiation oncologist mentioned that proton therapy may carry a lower risk of secondary cancers 30-40 years down the line, making it a more logical option for me. Assuming both treatments are equally covered by

heading for salvage therapy
hello all. Well my last two ( three month) PSA tests were 0.10 and MO. And RO. Recommend somewhat early salvage radiation treatment. A question I would like some input on is should I look into proton therapy over IMRT. I would need to travel to Fred hutch or Salt Lake City as I live in Reno Nv. Just

hdr brachytherapy or proton for salvage tx
MSK RO (Gorovets) recommends proton sbrt due to my preexisting urinary issues….hdr brachytherapy logistically is a LOT easier for me…..wondering if anyone here has any experience or opinions on this topic…..with all the hype about proton therapy and few studies to back it up definitively I’d hate to

Proton or Photon
Hi all, my wife and I are trying to determine the best choice for my prostate cancer. The biopsy/pet scan showed advanced prostate cancer with spreading to the right seminal vessel and involvement of one lymph node. We have had our first consult, locally, with a radiation (x-ray/photon) Dr. who suggested

PROTON THERAPY
Who is eligible to use proton therapy as a treatment for prostate cancer. In a recent meeting with my oncologist and specialists I was told ONLY prostate cancer patients can do it and not those who have metastasize of the bone or other areas.

Starting treatments
Had a setback due to being hospitalized in the ICU for a month and a half. Went to the Oncologist last week and about to start some aggressive treatment as I have a very aggressive prostate cancer. The oncologist on duty at the hospital had an MRI done to show where the metastasized bone cancer is located

Has anyone done the proton therapy?
Just curious if anyone had their MO suggest doing the proton therapy? When I have my discussion with my new MO, I want to ask if proton therapy would be a fit for myself. I have to deal with the prostate cancer and the met pelvic lymph nodes as well as the met bone issue.
