Faint positive test
Hi all, It’s been a while since last posted on here. Basically after 5 months of metformin, I missed my first period and now have a very faint pregnancy test when using FMU, but negative during the rest of the day. Just wondering if this is a reliable test, I don’t want to get my hopes but this is

Adt + abiraterone. Adding docetraxel? Adding metformin ?
Hello, My father was advanced Pc, with Psa of 1500 and 8 gleason. He started adt and abiraterone a month ago. His last psa last week was 650 so he seems to be reacting to it. He has had no side effects from this treatment. However we are still wondering if we should add chemio as i have read repeatedly

New Type 2 Diagnosis - swollen knees
Hi, I'm newly diagnosed with type 2 and quite shocked as I have been a veggie for many years and never thought I'd the one diagnosed. My reading has dropped from 83 to approx 68 in 3 months after a complete change of my diet. I'm currently suffering with swollen knees with the left being the most swollen

Ovulation Induction - advice?
Hi all! I'm about to embark into OI for the first time. I must admit that I find my body very confusing, and feel daft asking the consultant/nurses about my cycle. Does anybody have any experience of OI in general or tips? Some background: My cycles are long (and period is too), and varies in length.

No Answers; clock running out before I see latest doctor regarding prolonged, successful 18-year Coumadin use for clot to brain
I've written before, trying to find answers. I've had years of strange symptoms following a bout with Myocarditis and CHF. After successful treatment and a discharge by the cardiologist, I developed grotesque feet/hand swelling (increased several sizes within weeks). Sought out a rheumatologist who

Hypothyroidism and moods
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in June when my second child was 5 months old. It had gotten to the stage where I wasn't even able to get out of bed. I had also put on a stone and half in one month alone even though I was barely fit to eat. On having my bloods taken it was discovered my tsh was 113

It's my birthday - celebrating with injections, diarrhoea and headaches!
Oh the birthday joys of ivf. Damian is taking me out to dinner to celebrate where the lovely food will hopefully make up for the lack of booze and I'll treat myself to a shot of stimms in the toilet between courses - got to laugh at this crazy process! I'm 37 and childless - but at least this year I'm

What's going on!
I take 500 mg Metformin and 2 mg Glimipiride morning and evening with meals. I had one Glucerna shake and 1 cup oatmeal with 2 tsp Splenda to sweeten for breakfast. Two hours after eating my blood sugars are 250. Why are they so high?
