Cirrhosis makes me sleep all day & night -- any remedies?
Hi! I'm new here. I have had NASH for many years and it has now turned into cirrhosis. I have numerous varices, and had a near-fatal episode of bleeding from my varices a few years ago. The varices have responded well to banding, but I am now astonishingly tired. Sleeping 18 to 22 hours a day is not

Hello all I am type 2 for about a year now
My doctor started me on metformin 4 tabs a day and Victoza 1.8 a day. I have lost some weight and have been feeling great. So, at 6 months, they lowered the metformin dose to 2 tabs a day and kept Victoza the same. Still feeling great and a1c is great. So they just took my Victoza down to .6. Not

Metformin depletes Vitamin B12 and Coq10
Metformin is the first line of defence for Diabetes. It is the old workhorse and perhaps it is the only diabetic medicine which has least side effects. While going through this beautiful article on " Drug induced nutrient Depletion" which is highly relevant to all diabetes, metformin is listed as depleting

In this past week he has declined rapidly complaining of his back and legs hurting, severe restless leg syndrome, not sleeping at all,

Metformin
Hi guys, I saw my endocrinologist yesterday and he prescribed me Metformin. He mentioned it should help to regulate my periods since they've never been regular and I can start trying for a baby. One thing what I didn't ask him was when should I start it. Is it ok to start it straight away, should I

Can cirrhosis be diagnosed without a biopsy and can fibrosis be much closer to cirrhosis if an US, CT scan and fibroscan all show fibrosis?
I guess my title sums you my question. Based on those 3 tests I was diagnosed with early stage fibrosis. I ask the question because I feel my symptoms were those of someone with more liver damage than early fibrosis. I lost 10 lbs if water in the first week I was on Metformin. Prior to my diagnosis

New Here, can you help me interpret my latest lab values
Hi I am new to this forum but unfortunately not new to hypothyroidism. I was diagnosed 20 years ago and have been on various amounts of levothyroxine with just horrible results. I was always cold, tired, constipated and couldn’t lose weight. I finally found Thyrogold in the last few months and immediately

Not really low, comparitivlely?
About a year ago, I had a bad cough, that lasted 4 months. It was a deep, congested cough, with a lot of phlegm. I ended up going to a pulmonologist, who diagnosed me with asthma. At 57, I have never had it before this. At the same time, my platelets were 124,000. Right now, they are up to 132,000.

Metformin and Berberine
Hi All...I'm learning a lot from your previous posts. Thank you! Thus far, Metformin and/or Berberine seem to be worthy of further consideration. Although there does not appear to be convincing scientific evidence of their effectiveness for PCa patients (absent diabetes), both your reported experience
