I am looking for comments on my decision to delay my total knee replacement until I am either suffering too much pain or my mobility becomes to restricted. I am 71 and suffered from arthritis in both knees for over Forty years. The right one has been the worse, until 2020. RECENT HISTORY 29 Jan

how are others dealing with woman’s health

but it’s ridiculous the amount of money that this costs privately.

Knee pain
So I've finished week 8 today but have had to allow 5 days in-between runs due to left knee pain. No discernable injury and no swelling but takes a few days to settle. Am icing & doing exercises to strengthen legs and glutes as recommended by a physio who thinks i have an inflamed inner fat pad underneath

Piriformis Syndrome
Was re diagnosed with PMR in May of this year. After a bit of yo yo with pred I have settled on the DSNS method of tapering and so far have been reasonably successful. Since the beginning I have had some residual pain but presumed it was something I would have to live with as I understand that not everyone

Severe back pain
Hi fellow Lupies, There have been one or two posts about back pain which I was keen to read as I've just, at last, after long standing back problems for around 20 years, had some real investigation done. However, my main problem, spondylolistheses, has not been mentioned. This is a condition where the

Total knee replacement
I’m 6 days post total left knee replacement and struggling! I have no muscle strength to help my rehabilitation. The Physio is expecting me to lift my operated leg up and to bend it but I just haven’t got the physical strength to do so. As a result my rehab is way behind and there is a possibility I

No News Is Good News
I'm a 70 year old male. Over the last 18 months I've had a continual string of MS events starting with numbness in my feet. That triggered a new round of MRIs and a lumbar puncture and the diagnosis of Progressive MS . I've seen specialists at U of Mich, had my first course of Ocrevus, gone through

Hashimotos and frozen shoulder, is there a link?
I had FS in my left shoulder in 2018… the pain was like nothing I’d ever experienced! It’s the kind of pain you could pass out with. In time it healed with determination and no choice but to keep moving my arm, I had a baby at the time. The start of this year I got FS in my right shoulder. This time

Good evening all, I recently found out about this support group from a webinar I watched on agoraphobia from Dr. Karen Cassiday. I have not been formally diagnosed with agoraphobia, but my current counselor believes this could be the case. I am a 2nd year Doctor of Physical Therapy student and my anxiety

Parkinson's Nurse update
Hi all, thank you for all your previous posts, they were most helpful. Since then we have had a few medical professionals visit. The Parkinsons Nurse is coming to see my father-in-law tomorrow. Is there any questions we need to be asking? The OT and Physio visited yesterday and recommended a new commode
