I’m feeling very angry with the medical system that has neglected me in the early stages of my
Pernicious

treatment when I was complaining that three monthly injections were not sufficient. Now I am in this predicament and feeling frustrated and helpless.

Why di feel tired a lot?
I've joined the group as recently been diagnosed with
pernicious
anaemia
. Would be really interested in hearing about others experiences with this. I'm having b12 jabs now, which I've been told will be for the rest of my life.

Confused about folate
I might also post this on the
Pernicious
Anaemia
group but I think this group has provided better methylation info in the past - I’m just struggling to find the right bits just now.

How often to Self Inject
Hello all. I was just wondering what you all think about how often we should inject with Vit B12. I had been taking shots since about last Dec of 22, but even though it helped, didn't help much. So after finally being diagnosed with PA, I told my wife to inject me every day for 30 days to sort of give

Hyperplasia
I have been diagnosed with mild diffuse atrophic gastritis and and prominent foveolar hyperplasia. Returned to GP and no further follow up. GP prescribed Gaviscon , symptoms settled but 11 months later are back. Does anyone know if it is necessary to have follow up gastroscopies. I have had PA

Going To Self Inject -Questions
Hi, I’ve had 4 inputs over several months from GP’s and consultants with hope being built up then crashed. I am on 3 monthly jabs, as with so many others, is no where near enough. I’ve had the loading doses which returned me to normal functioning half way through 2nd week. Took bloods after last jab

Autoimmune gastritis
"For several years, most studies have focused on
pernicious
anaemia
only, generating confusion between the two entities. In AIG, the gastric proton pump, H+/K+ ATPase, is the major autoantigen recognized by autoreactive T cells.

How do I start on self injecting?
I have been on B12 injections for years, but since covid they don't last. I get mine every 8 weeks, but symptoms return after only one week now and get progressively worse, tremors, ataxia, severe pain in spine.... but GP refuses injections more frequently. How do I go about self injecting, where do

Anxiety and P.A.
I'm doing what I can to get on top of my
pernicious
anaemia
, more frequent injections, iron infusion etc. Is anxiety/depression linked to P.A? Do things get better as the P.A. is treated better? I was never a person who cried. How can I nip this in the bud so I don't sink again?

Pernicious Anaemia
Hi Guys I have had B12 above reference range (NHS UK so probably a very outdate reference range system) GP told me it was high a year ago. Nobody had told me! I don't take any B12 supplements or multi vitamins ( I take Vit D and Vit c separately daily only) I also have "borderline" full blood count

Chronic pain , degenerative spinal disease
Every 8 weeks I have a B12 injection for management of
Pernicious
Anaemia
diagnosed in 1985. However, the pains shooting into my toes and burning sensation around week 6, drives me crazy. The GP is nice but does not understand my predicament.

Advice and explanation pls
I should mention I have
pernicious
anaemia
so on b12 injections also had very low vit d, so also treating that last 2 months (under a private dr for b12 and vit d ) in case there is any relevance as PA and hashi's are autoimmune diseases

autoimmune and Hashimotos
I feel like I am on a one woman crusade in Scotland to get Hashimotos recognised for what it is an autoimmune disease, I now have four autoimmune diseases Hashimotos,
Pernicious
Anaemia
, Coeliac disease, Hyperparathyroidism, and am being referred for testing for rheumatoid arthritis.

hashimotos and hypo/hyperparathyrodism
I also have a diagnosis of
pernicious
anaemia
which can also cause hypo/hyperparathyroidism. I do not believe a GP would have enough knowledge in this field to know what tests to request.
