Anyone used Vitex (Agnus castus/chasteberry) and did it help or aggravate RLS?
Having heavy n prolonged periods so was researching solutions. Came across Vitex (to balance out hormones) but no idea if it's safe for RLS because when I googled Vitex RLS I read something about it affecting dopamine receptors? Has anyone used this for their periods or any other issue, or can advise

Test for intrinsic factor antibodies - when to do?
Quick questions, I hope! My doctor has agreed to this test but said we should wait until after 4 weeks after a third monthly injection of b12. I don't really see the point in waiting, because if it confirms a Pernicious Anemia diagnosis, that would hopefully mean I could start on more frequent loading

Blood test results
I suspected that my ferritin was low again, but the lab and doctors say it is normal. If you remember, I had an iron infusion a year ago resulting in my level being very high, above range. Please may I have an interpretation of that and other tests.

Coloured lights in eye
Does anyone get coloured lights in the eye associated with GCA? I'm not talking about the "scintillating scotoma" or visual migraine (have had several of those over the past 15 years) but rather a large yellow blob which runs up the side of the eye on the side towards the nose. Iron Supplements for those very sensitive to gluten
Hi, I'm being prescribed iron supplement (ferrous sulphate). GP assures me it is gluten free but GPs and Pharmacists don't understand gluten in ingredients. The pharmacy is not answering their phone when I call to find out the brands they have so I can do my own check. Any pharmacy prescribed brands

Ghost: for those who feel invisible

How long before an oral B12 tablet affects your Active/Serum B12 level?
Assuming for a moment that you don't have PA, and that you can successfully absorb oral B12 tablets like a healthy person (who may just have a very poor diet): 1) How long does it take an oral B12 tablet to be absorbed, such that it raises an Active B12 blood test result (or failing that, a Serum B12

B12 Deficient.
Hi, I've been diagnosed with B12 deficiency and I'd like to know what options are available to me as far as buying and self-administering injections goes. What is the estimated cost and are there likely to be any side effects? Thanks in advance.

Homocysteine after supplementation
Hello! Does anyone know how fast homocysteine levels are affected by supplementation? I took 1mg sublingual methylcobalamin a day for two weeks, then ceased using it for two weeks before testing (poor planing on my end i know). Both serum b12 and homocysteine levels tested normal. I know that serum b12

Just an update
Hi All! I had a heart cath, yesterday, and my left arterial descending artery was 98% blocked! There were actually two blockages, one dislodged and broke up when he attempted to place the stent. The pieces then flowed to the next blockage. That one was successfully stented. I am so very grateful that
