HNY!... and a warning for those who lead busy lives (aka all of us)
This is more of a warning to those of you who lead busy lives and live with
pernicious
anaemia
/ B12 deficiency. I was diagnosed in November 2020 after a desperate 9 month journey in the Australian health system left me bedridden.

Positive Reticulin Antibodies Test
I joined the

Iron could help B12 levels
Hi everyone, I’ve never post before… but I came across some useful information that could help you all. In my own personal experience I developed a b12 deficiency for no particular reason, I’ve been tested for pernicious anemia and that came back negative, I put it down to a mixture of a restricted

Low UIBC result from bloodwork?
Hi, All. I had bloodwork done recently and I'm wondering if anyone knows if the low UIBC might be affecting my RLS/PLMD. Ferritin was 169 (down from very high values after a blood infusion for rls in April 2021). The UIBC was flagged as Low at 126, Iron Saturation was flagged as high: Iron 172 UIBC

Spinal stenosis, compressed nerves
I know it’s not all caused by the
pernicious
anaemia
as I had an injury when I was a kid. I had osteopenia three years ago but that has started to improve following parathyroid surgery.

Should we lobby for modern healthcare to be a blend of Conventional Medicine AND Functional Medicine?
This is my question of the day... We are all suffering, horribly. From ignorance, mainly. Sorry to point it out... Management of B12, of gut health, of everything that happens to a body from a deficiency relies on the study of functional medicine. It is not the domain of conventional medicine, e.g

Advice on latest test results
Hi, I got diagnosed with underactive thyroid in September 2023. I was put on 50g of Levothyroxine and iron tablets as I had low ferritin and anemic. My latest results show I'm no longer anemic but my ferritin is still relativity low despite having been on iron tablets for 2 months. Dr seems to be

I'm Alive!
I had heard that some of you were looking for me. I have not been on too much these past few months as I had completely crashed, completely non-functional, with a severe case of iron deficiency. I apologize for not posting what was going on with me sooner. But the severe, severe fatigue just did

Urine Calcium Test tips?
As my GP has me down as a hypochondriac malingerer I need some evidence to force testing of calcium properly. I can’t afford a £150 6 hour round trip London clinic test so some internet research led me to a £25 set of 10 dipsticks. I’m ready for the ‘waste of time’ responses and see an endo responses

Taking b12 injections monthly. Is this enough given my symptoms. Would like to hear if others have my symptoms

Conjecture
I use conjecture as part of my creative process. Thing is I do not pretend it is anything but conjecture. Using those who share their experience on this forum it seems to me that of the three forms readily commercially available Methylcobalamin has the most profound effect. As a person who is not
