Very low serum ferritin result
Hello all , I’ve been backwards and forwards to hospital and doctors for over a tear now with irregular heart beats , balance all over the place , extreme tiredness, et. etc . I’ve had every test you can think off and finally a simple blood test has flagged up very low iron , I’m seeing the doctor Tuesday

Query about B12 and Folate blood test result
Hi I wonder if anyone here can help. I've looked online and can find no answers. I need B12 injections periodically and my blood test results have always given me a number on the axis graph to show if within range or out of range. My mother just recently had a load of blood tests and when the B12 and

Weighloss?
Just checking to see if others are experiencing a small albeit constant weight loss on Ropinerol? I also take Topamax for chronic migraine. Have been taken both for just over a year now and have lost all appetite. Nearly 4 stones in weight during this year, and I do eat some very naughty food like everyone

To the relief of both of us (as I think Dr Wool was getting a bit frustrated with my long, ongoing “condition” too) the second Schillings Test had showed that I was suffering from

and I was to have Cytamen (cyanocobalamin) injections every four weeks from then on.

Blood result question
Hi everyone I finally received a copy of my initial haematology appointment letter. No idea what numbers mean but understand they are still querying PV and Primary or Secondary Polycythaemia. Sept 21 I had haemoglobin of 167g/1 & 48.5% haematocrit. Jan 2022 haemaogloblin of 164g/1 & 45.9% haematrocrit

Folate Deficient (3rd time since October 2019)
Evening everyone I’m just wondering if anyone has any advice/experience with folate deficiency please? This is the third time my folate has dropped <2 I’m on my 2nd month (of 4 month prescription) of Folic Acid (5mg daily) but to be honest I still feel quite poorly, dizzy/off balance, extremely tired

Folate
I am confused about how much folate to supplement with when taking B12 injections. These were my labs were done a year ago (when B12 deficiency was discovered): B12: 240 (range 239-931) Folate: 8.4 (range 7-31) After only 4 injections my folate dipped to 5.2. My neurologist had me start 400 mcg or folate

Magnesium supplement advice please
I've been taking magnesium glycinate supplements, no sure if they helped but heho, I've ran out so I need to reorder. I don't want the same brand as they were huge! I've searched on here and it looks like taurate might suit me better as I struggle with ectopic heartbeats a lot. Can any of you recommend

Testing for PA
Has anyone had all the bloodwork (IFA, parietal cell, MMA, homocysteine) and endoscopy & colonoscopy (including biopsies) that all came back fine yet still have B12 deficiency or PA? Is it possible to still have PA without having any definitive test results. Endoscopy and colonoscopy did not turn up

New to this forum!
Hi. I was diagnosed with PA about 6 years ago. I had my B12 shots at my surgery but after my initial boosters, they only gave me 1 a month (if that). So when Covid rocked up, I bought everything myself and have been self injecting for the last few years with my GP’s approval. I’m just about to run out

H Pylori and B12 deficiency
I am aware that untreated H Pylori can cause a vitamin B12 deficiency, but was wondering by how much? (I.e. could this be the *sole* cause of my B12 deficiency?) Maybe difficult to quantify I know, but was thinking whether I might in the future (after eliminating my recently diagnosed H Pylori) be able

Hair loss
Hi all. Hope everyone is well. Just looking for some advice and reassurance really. For the last few months I've noticed a lot and I mean a lot of hair loss. When showering drying and brushing. And even through the day when my hair is down. I was on ferrograd and vit d supplements until about 9 weeks
