Anyone? 😁
LOL I’m popping on here, again, for your honest opinion and advice. I have been OFF all forms of treatment since the beginning of January (when I was told there was evidence that Ibrance and Anastrazole were failing). A brief stint with Xeloda (for 6 days...6 days of pure torture)…and to tell you

Orchiectomy
I have metastatic cp to the bone. I have been on Lupron Xtandi and Hi dose Vitamin C for the last 19 months my current PSA is <0.1 and has been for the last 6 months. I am 83 years old and am in reasonable good health, other than pc. I have read that having an orchiectomy would yield longer life. Also

House legislation aims to close a regulatory loophole to improve patient safety of nuclear medicine diagnostic tests in oncology&cardiology
News to me, but something to think about the next time you go for a PET/CT scan or Pluvicto treatment. An issue that is definitely one our patient community should be aware of and legislation we should all support. Here is the final text of the proposed legislation:

TRT Causing Breast Enlargement
Has anyone on this site experienced breast enlargement while on TRT? Just curious as to how common this is. Am considering it because two years after ADT. (18 months Lupron and Bicalutamide) my T level is 66, PSA .28.

Zometa
Insurance denied my Xgeva shot . Was told I had to do Zometa. Looking at the potential side effects ( stomach) Im not inclined. Been dealing with ibs and gerd for years and not really wanting to go with anything that will increase that situation. I've read that Zometa does nothing to prevent SRE events

treatment or no treatment?
it’s been almost 3 years since i was diagnosed with a Gleason 8 prostate cancer, confined to the prostate. To date I have elected not to be treated but instead have been monitoring my PSA levels. Originally this was 6 now 15. I am 66 with no symptoms and no other health issues. I have declined treatment

Newly diagnosed metastatic PC treatment options
Hi, I'm 68 years old. Here are the key points in my story so far: In July 2023 a blood test showed a PSA value of 45. On September 26 2023, prostate MRI showed a dominant tumor in the prostate with extension into the right seminal vesicle. Also the fat plane between the rectum and prostate is lost

Good Bye Xeloda
Turns out all my anxiety over taking Xeloda was warranted (for me). I wanted to THANK all of you beautiful people who helped me through my decision. I appreciate ALL of you so much!! I ended up starting it last Wednesday and my doctor lowered my dose to start. She put me on 1500mg twice a day. I

AUS revision surgery?
I'm seeking advice on having a second AUS surgery. My background: I had a prostatectomy in 2016 and radiation a year later because the cancerous tumor had penetrated the sack. I have since had undetected PSA but have suffered with severe stress incontinence. I had AUS surgery in 2018 but it failed because

Caelyx side effects and duration of treatment plus follow up with target therapy or immunotherapy.
Dearest,Thank you for this great forum. Sorry to bug you again with questions about Caelyx...is that I've been reading all your post and some information does not match with my doctor told me ( tomorrow I'm going for a third opinion) >First my doctor told me the side effects from Caelyx are minimum

1, 3 or 6 month ADT?
Originally, after a prostatectomy and 40 radiation treatments, I had a one month shot of Lupron followed by a six month shot of Lupron. My PSA went to undetectable. Seven years later my PSA crept up to seven and I was put on a monthly shot of Firmagon for life. My PSA is again undetectable and all scans

Big decsions regarding SRT/ADT due to BCR post RP
My husband was had a robotic radical prostatectomy 1/2019 with no major complications or side effects. Gleason 4+3, negative margins and no positive lymph nodes. Nano Knife Surgery
I recently underwent a brand new surgical procedure called nano knife. Dr. Mayank Patel in Encino California, a da Vinci robotic and TULSA pro expert surgeon recommended this procedure after a panel of doctors examined my MRI and CT scans. The procedure was successful and five months post surgery

PSA Doubled in 2 Months
PSA end of August was 0.12 now 0.24. I met with 2 ROs to discuss treatment when my PSA was 0.20 a week ago . One suggested ADT 18-24 months and prostate bed radiation. Second RO says we can avoid ADT for now as he sees 0.70 as the value he believes requires ADT. I'm scheduled for F18 PSMA scan in early
