Scan shows spreading despite chemo but surgery going ahead..confused 🤔
Hello alI I have stage 4 clear cell carcinoma, had a scan this week and got the results today. My gynae nurse said she could only tell me what was written on a scrap bit of paper which left me with more questions than answers (not impressed with this). I will call again next week but meantime wondered

Tips for Xeloda
Mom is to start Xeloda next week . Looks like 1500 morning and 1500 night . I think that’s correct. She’s also on metformin right now from the anfintor and Faslodex spiking her sugar. She’s been off anfintor a week now but still doesn’t feel great . Awful taste in her mouth and not a great appetite

PALB2 genetic defect-Lynparza
I have PALB2 genetic defect. Just completed six cycles of Taxotere as part of triple therapy (chemo, Nubeqa and ADT) for about 20 Mets (PSMA scan) mostly skeletal (no organs). Only four Mets still lit up on PSMA scan after four cycles of chemo/Lupron/Nubeqa. Next PSMA scan in Jan. 2024. Oncologist recommends

Durability of Pluvicto treatment?
Just completed Pluvicto treatment #5 of 6 and extremely thankful for the good results. Had a PSMA Pet scan before #5 and it shows that PCa continues to disappear (read from right to left — pre-treatment, after two treatments, and after four treatments). Hoping for pretty much 100% remission after #6

Hi ladies So….. I had my scan results from 23rd December yesterday . I was told by Onc nurse that the cancer was stable ( it is inoperable) My CA125 at diagnosis back in March 23 was 9000 but during chemo treatment there was a steady decline and prior to the scan it stood at 2000. I don’t understand

Any insight into # platinum chemo cycles?
So I'm about to start cisplatinum + etoposide chemo cycles on wed. next week for NECP/SCCP. The first irritant I have of which I'm sure will not be the only one is: I have no idea what the treatment plan is, I don't know how many cycles I'm scheduled for and what the treatment goal is. Researching

I have a profile in advanced prostate cancer. When I set it up I didn't realize there was more than one prostate cancer network/forum. People in the advanced prostate form suggested I join this one. It's been awhile, but here I am. I'm a 63 year old who had an RP in March 2021. So far my psa tests have

I recently had more scans and unfortunately my cancer has spread to my lungs and more in my liver. My bone mets are not to bad but two active ones in my T2 and Right hip even though I had recently had radiotherapy on them again for palliative pain relief. I have been on four lines of treatment in 17 months

News: not about prostate cancer but interesting
CRISPR CAS9 starts to be recognized as something that can really help in many circumstances. It takes a while to shift to a broader view of technology (e.g “I don’t agree, you are playing with DNA” as if pollution, smoking, some food additives etc etc didn’t do the same). This is something that could

Xeloda Anxiety
I was supposed to begin Xeloda today. For some reason, I am paranoid. First, I'm thinking my dose is too high. I weigh 168 pounds, 5’4” and my team has me scheduled to take 2000 mg twice a day. I think that’s a lot. Anyone else similar in size to me taking this high of a dose? Am I just paranoid. I

Vacation from Lupron/Zytiga - Temporary or Permanent!
I have been on ADT (Lupron/Zytiga) for 2.5 years. PSA and testosterone immeasurable currently. Looking to go on "vacation" from meds. History: Gleason 8/9 with a PSA of only 1.89 (on Finasteride). CT/Bone scan did not show any definite metastasis. PSMA PET showed "possible" metastasis in 4 spots

NOT SURE
Hey all, I am new to this forum. I have had a lot of health issues over the last 4 years with my heart. During a PET scan of the heart the tests showed a "hot spot" on my ovary. The SUV is 3.9, the mass is on a 3.5cm ovarian cyst and is 1.5 cm soft tissue. I also had a CT back in 2020 that revealed
