Looking for options after Verzenio.
Spoke with my onc today and she said if Verzenio fails she’s thinking about Afinitor. Said I’m running out of options and IV chemo might not be far off after that. I’ve been on Faslodex, Anastrozole, Ibrance and Verzenio is my 3rd line of treatment. No mutations. I feel like there are many more options

Looking for medical oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
I was diagnosed one year ago with two very small tumors, one on each lobe. Gleason 6, grade group one. Less than 5% involvement in each tumor. Decipher of 0.28, which suggests low aggressiveness. PSA has remained 0.7 for a many years. Although I think Fox Chase Cancer center in Philadelphia is a fine

delivery day: Body’s ‘message in a bottle’ delivers targeted cancer treatment
“Researchers at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden have succeeded in delivering targeted cancer treatment via small membrane bubbles that our cells use to communicate. A new study published in Nature Biomedical Engineering shows that the treatment reduces tumour growth and improves survival in mice.”

Worsening back pain after treatment?
I’ve had back pain before, and even had surgery to relieve it, but this is different. I’ve brought this up with my RO and my plain oncologist, but wanted to see if anyone here has experienced this. Next week I’ll be talking to my GP. A reminder of my DX: Gleason 9, spread to local lymph nodes. Treated

Scared of the Future.....
My husband (42M) has been having the feeling of needing to use the bathroom 7-10 times a day, and it always comes out as gas or diarrhea, loose watery stools. I had him to our primary doctor and get some tests run. All of his bloodwork has come back ok, his platelets are a little high, but his iFOBT

PSA in lower range, yet PSMA PET SCAN shows diffuse bone Metastasis
Dear all , my father latest Total PSA level shows 6.24 which is down after touching 10.45. He was given one infusion of Docetaxel, however, he has been weaned off due to adverse reactions he has had, as his overall condition worsened and he had lot of prolonged mouth sores, with WBCs touching .08 and

Disappointed
After Lupron, NUBEQA and Zytega … and a recent FDG Cat scan Several nodes lit up in the periodonal aorta area of his abdomen. Being totally right up against the aorta, a decision was made to remove them robotically. Surgery went well. All lymph’s were removed that lit up on the scan. docs felt PSA

“I have never really been a sun worshipper but I have used sunbeds in the past. I used to hire one for use at home in my late teens/early 20’s then used the stand-up ones on and off at tanning salons a few years after that. I never thought there was any harm in using sunbeds and I can’t remember seeing

Disgusted with Healthcare
I had to request my PCP to do a PSA as it wasn't standard practice. I had to call the urologist, who I originally saw, after I joined this board and knew I should be starting ADT, even though they hadn't two months after my scans showed Stage IV. I saw the surgeon even though it was Stage IV and wasn't

NX 1607 - phase 1 trial, will also recruit prostate cancer patients but not from the beginning
Also some prostate cancer patients will be included in the trial further down the road...let's just keep this in mind https://www.cancernetwork.com/view/trial-will-assess-nx-1607-safety-and-tolerability-in-advanced-malignancies

Is HE always inevitable with severe chronic liver disease?
My daughter has been told there is nothing more the doctors can do for her multiple hepatic adenomas. Transplant is not an option, due to serious underlying health conditions and also total lack of fitness . She has at least 15 of these tumours taking over her liver now. She has had a resection last
