For some reason my blood pressure has shot up. I am already taking 50 mgs of Atenolol for raised blood pressure but this in in the danger zone with no apparent cause. The GP has arranged various Cardio tests, blood, kidneys within the next couple of weeks, having been alerted by my Rheumatologist last

Changing time of bisoprolol
I'm currently on bisoprolol 1.25 which I take at 6pm. I want to take it in the morning instead as I get high HR during the day, particularly exercising, walking, stairs etc. I take Perindopril 4mg in morning. What's the best way to switch it to the day? I'm on it for a high HR. Thanks

Probably not Amlodipine causing Headaches
I have found some interesting information on the BHF Website, I was already a member years before my condition presented and raised a few £'s, Ironically selling cakes! https://www.bhf.org.uk/informationsupport/heart-matters-magazine/medical/drug-cabinet/calcium-channel-blockers After a couple of weeks

Migraine tablets suitable for apixaban/bisoprolol/amlodipine users
My wife is on apixaban following an ablation a couple of years ago. She occasionally gets migraines - anyone know of any migraine tablets suitable for people taking apixaban, bisoprolol and amlodipine?

Vitamin D
Just wondering if it is ok to take vitamin D supplements with heart meds, or even to increase vitamin D rich foods. Currently take: Ivabradine, atorvastatin, losartan, aspirin, amlodipine, amitriptyline.

Amlodipine and Atorvastatin.
My cardio nurse prescribed amlodipine and atorvastatin for my SVT and AF. I read on the statin insert that it must not be taken if on amlodipine so I have not taken any. Does anyone here take these together?

How to change time of beta blocker
How do you change the time of your beta blocker? I am taking bisoprolol 1.25 at 10pm. I would like to change to morning as HR is high during day and low in bed.I have started to take levothroxine 50mg for underactive Thyroid which is giving me palpitations so want to take bisoprolol earlier to alleviate

Still confused
am still not sure if my AF will cause damage. I have a very irregular hb but never higher than 60 on a very few occasions it went up to 110 but I didn’t notice only detected on my fit bit. I suppose I am lucky not to have episodes. My energy level is low and I get breathless if walking fast or climbing

Osteoarthritis knee pain eased
I have followed a similar path to many of painkillers and treatments. But two months ago I was so lucky to find some relief. And I can't put this down to any particular treatment or medication. Through a 24 hour day, and for different treatments, I take Glucosamine. Rivaroxaban. Amlodipine. Atorvastatin

Use of Kyolic garlic caps for hypertension control
My question is this: Anyone else has found that Kyolic garlic been beneficial is helping reduce their BP in any way? I have been on this for 4 weeks now, and it has reduced my BP from the high 190s over 100s over weeks to now the 130s over 70s. I have been on Candestar 16mgs daily for some time controlling

Unexpected rise in BP
I have mild / moderate angina and have been prescribed amlodipine to get my blood pressure down. After about three weeks of the medication my BP was coming down quite steadily but then I got a cold virus and it's right up there again. Is that to be expected?

Mitral valve replacement
I have a replacement tissue Mitral Valve fitted 4 weeks ago. I will be on Warfarin for 6 months, am also taking Furosmide, Perindopril and Amiodarone Hydrochloride. Have been progressing quite well but for the last few days my eyes keep going out of focus, today being the worst and longest. Anyone out

Have I developed "doctor phobia" or what...?!
Today I saw my new GP for a follow-up visit. My old one moved away and I stopped going to the practice for no particular reason. On Sept 6, during my first visit since July '17, my BP was slightly raised (170/92, heart rate 90). I was put on perindopril 5 mg daily and told to come back today. Interestingly

High blood pressure...would appreciate input!
I just had my third GP appointment in less than three weeks. I've had high blood pressure for years. It was first discovered back in 2000 when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's. I was then told it would normalise once my TSH normalised on levothyroxine. However, it never fully has so, back in 2013, I

Amlodipine and light headedness
I have been prescribed 5mg Amlodipine and after a couple of days I became extemely light headed.....to the point when I had to stop taking it. More or less as soon as I stopped my light headedness went away. I am in my contact with my doctora about it as this is the second time she's tried it out on

Recent Heart Attack
Hi, I recently had a heart attack. I had 100% block of a main artery and 40% block of another artery branching off the main artery. They put in 3 stents and left the 40% block. I am on a bunch of meds. I discovered this site by accident and have been reading some stuff. I am on Lipitor 40 mg, perindopril
