I have a replacement tissue Mitral Valve fitted 4 weeks ago. I will be on Warfarin for 6 months, am also taking Furosmide, Perindopril and Amiodarone Hydrochloride.
Have been progressing quite well but for the last few days my eyes keep going out of focus, today being the worst and longest. Anyone out there with any advice or similar experience.

I had my mitral valve replaced almost six months ago and suffered a lot of sensory migraines, some of which presented as an inability to focus my eyes for 10 mins or so. The neurologist investigated and said it was a side effect of Being in coronary bypass. Apparently it aggravates part of the brain bit calms down after a while. My migraines are lessening in intensity and frequency. This may be what you are suffering too but always worth checking with your medical team.
One of the common side effects of Amiodarone is that it causes eyesight problems. I experienced this and took myself off the drug after 3 weeks. (I had this drug as a result of having an attack of atrial fibrillation 3 days after my aortic valve was replaced). Having asked others that had an identical experience and were advised to stop taking the drug after a few weeks I also stopped taking it.
The unfortunate problem with this drug is that it can remain in your system for up to 6 months. Eight weeks after stopping I have no more major issues only very bright 'floaters' which are pinpoints of light occasionally moving across your field of vision.
If you have not done so already look at the leaflet inside the Amiodarone box which mentions more serious side effects.
