Pepsin

I am having stomach issues. Take Rytary. Sometimes stomach puffs up after taking. Or after eating. Lactose intolerant. Very uncomfortable. Gastroenterologist put me on Omeprazole 20 mg take 1 before breakfast. Well developed urinary tract infection (no test) uncomfortable just what I don't need.

I've read though that they are not the solution as night time reflux that gets into nasal cavities and upper throat is caused by pepsin? Anyone else know anything about this? Desperate for some answers. ps. The gaviscon seemed to relieve him better than PPI's!!!

Has anyone tried BETAINE hydrochloride with pepsin for bad indegestion and digestive issues , what are you experiencies , been suffering 3 months now and Omeprazole doesn’t do anything for me . Had endoscopy and results were mild gastritis, duodenal ulcer and duodentis, thanks

I have bought some HCL with pepsin but not yet taken any. I wondered if you should just take the capsule(s) with your evening/main meal, and also if you should take them regardless of whether the meal contains meat or not - can anyone advise, please?

I take apple cider vinegar in the mornings and use HCl betaine with pepsin with meals. Am I using too much and why does my stomach do this ?

I have read an article advising Hashimotos patients to take Betaine and Pepsin with protein meals. The writer said she regained a lot of energy because most Hashimotos patients have low stomach acid and taking these helped with digestion thereby saving energy. what do you think?

Anyone ever tried Betain HCI with Pepsin to support the gut in Hashimoto's? I've done some research myself. Apparently a very good supplement to try with digestive support. Any one tried and can provide testimony on its benefits and symptom relief?

I have read that Selenium and Betain HCL with Pepsin may be the way to go. I am taking Ferrous Fumerate iron tablets 300mg once or twice daily as well as Vit D 800iu daily after having high doses to correct a deficiency. Could anyone advise if my thought process is going the right way.

Does anyone take digestive enzymes (like Pepsin, Betaine hydrochloride) or apple cider vinegar to help sore tummies with any success? Or are we not supposed to? Ta.

I've been taking apple cider vinegar before meals - and Betaine HCL tablets with Pepsin and do appear to have noticed an improvement, although it is early days.

I thought about getting a good Betaine HCL + Pepsin supplement, but I'm breastfeeding and after reading about it (here: https://draxe.com/what-is-betaine/) I wasn't too sure if I could take it or not.

I am on a mega SIBO dietary/treatment protocol now and popping supplements including HCL/Pepsin/ACV with mother for my hypoclorhydria.

I won't go into all the digestive issues but I find digestive enzymes with hcl and pepsin helpful although I can't eat much at a time. My salivary cortisol levels were low am and lunch and below level evening and night. Vit D and K2-mk7 help with aches and pains and last level was 110.
