I have read an article advising Hashimotos patients to take Betaine and Pepsin with protein meals. The writer said she regained a lot of energy because most Hashimotos patients have low stomach acid and taking these helped with digestion thereby saving energy. what do you think?

This should say Betaine and Pepsin as a heading

Sylvia22 It would be worth doing a very quick and simple home test with baking soda to see if it indicates low stomach acid scdlifestyle.com/2012/03/3-...

If it looks like you do have low stomach acid, either Betaine HCL with Pepsin or Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother can help. I didn't find any benefit from the Betaine, I use ACV.
