Oy! Rough night.
Ok now I know for sure there is a correlation between reflux meds pepcid a.c. and tums. Had a bad bout yesterday, took some heartburn meds and ended up with break through RLS all night. Ughhh. Body aches today. Exhausted. Back to bicarb. And restricted diet. Hoping all of you have a grand day.😎

Pain worse at night
I've had IBS for 20+ years and have been dealing with a flare up now for two months. Went to my doctor and she ordered an EGD to rule out ulcer. Nothing was found, which is good, but still having bowel issues. Pain is worse at night just like I've been reading other posts on here. Usually taking

Chest and back pain after endoscopic banding
I had a Endoscopy today to band the varices from having a bad liver. When I came out of the exam and woke up, I had terrible chest pain that radiated to the back. They did an ekg immediately and it came back normal. The GI doctor came by to see me and said some chest pain would be normal because of the

Stomach hurting.. help??
Hi guys so for the past month I have been having abdominal pains. I don't go to the restroom like I used to. I went to the doctor and I had to take a urine test and the doctor said I had blood in it. So I went to the hospital got a sonograph, CT scan, and x ray and they said everything looked normal

after feeling well for the first time in over a year, my blood results are back, could you please advice?
Since this forum's precious and irreplaceable advice, I begun supplementing with Vitamin D, C, iron, B12 and B complex, K2, and continued my HLC and
pepsin
, cider vinegar/lemon and probiotics. I am in 125 T4 which I take last thing at night and 10 mcg of T3 at midday.

VITAMIN DEFICIENCY with reference to B12, also PPI's
You see, the ability to absorb B12 naturally present in foods depends on the presence of adequate stomach acid, the enzyme
pepsin
and a gastric protein called intrinsic factor to release the vitamin from the food protein it is attached to.

Betaine HCL
Good morning, I have been taking the above, 600 mg betaine, 60mg
pepsin
as I suspected low stomach acid. I am up to 7 tablets with each meal with no warm sensation in my stomach as described on numerous websites. Is this normal and how far do I go? Any advice or insight would be appreciated.

PPIs & GERD: Inflammation, Not Acid, Cause of Gastro-Eosophageal Reflux Disease, Study Suggests
A]lthough the inciting pathophysiology is unquestionably the reflux of gastric and duodenal secretions into the esophagus, this evidence suggests that the effect of that reflux is the initiation of cytokine-triggered inflammation rather than the long held belief of a direct chemical effect of acid,
