When to stop taking Betaine HCL + Billary reflux.
I've been taking Betaine HCL +
pepsin
and gastric enzymes for a while now and it has worked well. My acid reflux has virtually disappeared. So over the weekend, I found myself with a wicked craving for crispy duck.

Betaine hcl
I tried taking Betaine hcl with
Pepsin
. I started with a small dose and gradually increased it. I haven't had any burning sensations as if I have too much acid, but it hasn't helped either, in fact it has made me more bloated and nauseous. Anyone else had this problem?

When to take Betaine HCL supplements?
I took 2 x 325mg HCL with 5mg
pepsin
in each tablet. Surprisingly I felt a lot better, normally I would belch and burp for hours and suffer with a heaviness sensation in my stomach for hours. It was amazing. Thanks in advance!

After a test I was told it was low stomach acid and was put on hydrochloride and
pepsin
. Has anyone else had this problem? I don't feel a lot better yet but maybe it takes times. As we age we don't have as much acid although we are usually given meds that decrease it even more.

Horrible stomach problems
Tried Beatine HCL with
pepsin
and that didn't work, got so much pain (don't know if it was from this for certain), I stopped taking it. Tried mastic gum and it made it worse. Being 'subclinical hypothyroid' for 6 years I noticed my blood results were never that bad before.

Is Pepcid the right med to take?
My doctor has prescribed Pepcid for my tummy problems. My book 'Could It Be B12' says this is an H2 blocker that interferes with B12 absorption. Is this really the right medicine for me to take? I'm my doctor's first PA patient ever, I don't want to be his guinea pig experiment. I've seen some articles

New and starting medication tonight
My health issues started about 4 years ago when I got whooping cough in 2010. Got it again almost one year later in 2011. Never recovered from the second episode. Diagnosed with lung disease within 6 month of the second case. Lung volume ranges from 59% to about 70%, seems to be worse when I am sick.

Eating small amounts of food leaves me feeling weak and shaky. Any idea's greatly appreciated. X
A forum member has suggested betaine with
pepsin
, which I tried to no avail. I hope that I have put this question on the right forum as everything that's happening to me at the moment, seems to be connected to the hypo crash I had in January. Many thanks. Lynne x
